the Dutch have lost twice in their group already (I expect they'll still make it by winning their home games......)

Interesting qualifying groups as Germany and Spain have also lost a (tricky-ish) away game each, and Portugal lost at home to Albania iirc.

Holland, Germany and Spain all had brilliant qualifying records before this tournament.

Big teams taking it easy under a simple qualification structure, or Europe's 'minnows' getting better?* Probably neither, interesting though, as you say.

*Enjoying Iceland's vast improvement.

Iceland have gone from 104th to 31st in FIFA world rankings since the current coach took over in October 2011.

Quite impressive.

7 points from a possible 9, this is a very big chance for Wales to make a major tournament especially as potentially the top 3 go through.

Iceland look very good also, but then again, any team with Gylfi does.

It is - have to be wary that they haven't played Israel or Belgium yet, but they can certainly compete with the former. Rare a man makes a team but with Bale playing, Wales must surely be a decent shot for at least a play-off place.

They go to Bosnia in their penultimate game, which might prove the decisive match.

All bets are off in Northern Ireland's group if they get a result in Greece tonight.

Gylfi with a fantastic come-and-get-me plea performance to Nigel Adkins last night.

Serbia Vs Albania tonight. Away fans are banned but there are rumours if quite a few Albanians making the trip anyway.

Might get a little tasty

A pub team that beat Bosnia.
At least we never conceded a goal to San Marino in 8 seconds. Still makes me laugh.

Shit's going off in the Serbia v Albania game. An Albanian flag was flown in by a drone, so a Serbia player pulled it down. Then everyone started fighting each other.

Serbian fans were chanting 'behead Albanians' for almost 5 minutes just before drone-g8 apparently

last-gasp equalizer for the Irish in Germany. Hun-believable.

When was the last time all of the home nations were doing so well in qualifying? Wales, England and Northern Ireland all top their groups, and Scotland, its only the defeat to Germany keeping them out of the top two. The Irish have been great too (though not technically a home nation I guess)

It's only Gibraltar letting us down, really.

2-0 win for Northern Ireland with 24% possession. Greece must have been appalling.

Norwood played 90 mins from a RFC point of view.

Iceland and Slovakia have both won 3 out of 3 too - the latter won 1-0 in Ukraine this week.

Good start for the minnows!
