Ian Royal
Royalist He'll find a club somewhere. People who've killed kids have got back into the game. Football is disgusting at times.

On the one hand I completely agree. On the other he's served his time and you can't bar ex-criminals from working. The only issue here is really the public profile and the fact he'll earn quite a lot, should that really make a difference? Should all ex-criminals be stuck working dead-end menial jobs, or on benefits?

I think he should be allowed the right to play football but no club sign him. Especially the club he was at whilst he did the crime. It'd be almost as if they are saying what he did was okay and he's forgiven. The after effects of rape don't last 2 years do they?

Have the PFA take him on to educate players on where he went wrong. But he won't even admit it.

Ched Evans is due out of jail soonish after being convicted of rape.

His girlfriend (who forgave him for cheating on her with a 19 year old) and his sister are pleading his innocence and say he should be given another chance with his football career. Over 140,000 people have signed a petition to stop him coming back into the professional game.

Shows how little value online petitions have really.

TBF - it's probably a case of the 19 year old girl throwing herself at a footballer whilst drunk, then regretting it, and crying wolf. There are plethora of young girls who hang around football clubs to try and get with a footballer - I've known a few of them trying it on with Reading players.....and suckseeding.

Yeah, stats on rape convictions clearly demonstrate that it's a piece of piss to stitch someone up for it.

Don't think the footballer hanger on stuff comes into it. She went to the room with another footballer who is even lower profile than a relegated championship player like he was at the time of the crime. Clayton McDonald is hardly going to recognised by most football fans let alone wannabe wags.

If you read the facts of the case, it's his word against hers. So I can't quite see how they came to a guilty verdict.

Presumably they judged the plausibility of each story and the apparent trustworthiness of the accuser and accused.

Ouroboros Presumably they judged the plausibility of each story and the apparent trustworthiness of the accuser and accused.

And concluded there was no reasonable doubt of his guilt. Just to spell it out for Kes.

So Ian didn't read the evidence, but just jumped on the bandwagon to have a pop.

So Natasha Massey, what first attracted you to the millionaire Ched Evans?

How stupid is she? Does she seriously not think he wasn't sticking it in a different woman every weekend?

So you don't need to click the link:

- Ched's girlfriend has stuck by him, despite him being a rapist.
- She is debatable of face.
- And a bit stupid.

Her old man is funding his appeals as he's a millionaire so doubt its money she's with him for but good old fashioned stupidity.

The Ched Evans angst is very rich. Unsurprisingly the BBC have given it blanket coverage.

"Its a bloody disgrace that a privately owned business (Sheffield United) will re-employ on a a hefty salary a convicted rapist" bleated a hundred pro-ECHR liberal lefties on my social media timelines

Your complaints should be directed at our criminal justice system, not Sheffield United FC.

Why not make a fit and proper test for footballers as well as owners. Would stop rapists and people at fault ( ;) ) for others deaths unable to play the game in this country.

Not everything has to be governed by law. The discussion on Evans is a moral one.

A little birdie tells me that there are few guys turning out for Reading F.C every week masquerading as professional footballers.
