Royal Lady Btw he also said he and players would look at forums such as this, though he advised players not to, as believe it or not some of them would take comments to heart and it affected them negatively

Para Handy Ha ha. Can't believe I used to think you were a decent poster m8.
Yes, Brian is clearly a nice guy. Think he ably demonstrated that last night. The rest of your post is just bollox really. Don't recall Brian saying anything about "nobody reporting stuff" apart from a joke with Jonny Fordham about stuff not appearing in the Sun. Don't remember anything about the "find a new manager" quote.
The fact is that is he's one of Reading's most successful managers ever. Under trying circumstances for most of the time. I make no apologies for loving the bloke. I've been watching the team since 1970 and when they got rid of Brian it was the first time I've ever considered giving it all up. I've yet to regain that feeling of a "club" under Adkins. Not sure I ever will tbh.

Royal Lady More likely, as with coppell, he wouldn't rock the boat when employed by either club - especially Reading - he loved his many years here and wanted to be manager - he was sacked because we weren't doing very well on a paltry budget - if he spoke out at the time, who would want to employ him in capacity as manager again? He loves scouting and from what he said last night, I doubt he'd want to go back to management now anyway. Btw he also said he and players would look at forums such as this, though he advised players not to, as believe it or not some of them would take comments to heart and it affected them negatively

P!ssed Off The bit about him offering to resign when AZ came in is 100% true:

The other criticisms are clearly my take on the occurrences.
No doubt he did a great job for much of his tenure, however I feel his lack of fight has cost him a bit of my respect.

AthleticoSpizz Ever thought that MaccyD may be £££££ contractually bound, to be guarded about his ex-employers?
