My first choice would be Pulis. More realistically would be Dolan. I think he has what it takes to be a successful manager for our first team.

Jason Roberts has just tweeted his disgust that this poll does not contain any black candidates. When pressed on the matter, he said that Hughton "doesn't count".

I'd like Chris Powell.

wingnut
Pepe the Horseman Interesting* to note that when we did this when Bri left, Adkins was the winner with 33% of the votes.

Also interesting* to note that when Rodgers was given the boot, absolutely no one picked Bri.

Speak for yourself.

Still behind Adkins for now, if we don't beat Blackpool convincingly though I will start to have serious doubts. Would love Pulis just for what he achieved at Palace in such a short time, but very unrealistic, especially as the reason he left was because he wasn't given the financial backing he asked for. (which Adkins has had several opportunities to also do and has stuck with us)

In all honesty, I have no idea who would be a decent and realistic potential manager.. Situation at the club is still a bit of a grey area re financial backing, may end up in a relegation scrap (I dont think we will), player morale is low and if a proven at this level manager like Adkins hasnt really got the players firing it may put off a few..

Yeah, get some Thai cash together and bring in Moyes or Pullis.

Would like to see Roy Keane get a chance, although can't see it happening after reading his book!

Nige is 14/1 to be next manager to leave, if anyone actually expects him to go.

David Moyes for me - ignore his little stint with Man u, he kept Everton in the top10 of the prem for years and even took them into Europe several times, also before that he did very well at Preston NE.

If our new owners have any ambition, they they won't go wrong with David.

Tbf Moyes has said that his next job would have to be at a struggling Championship club.

Get Wally Downes or Tony Adams in to sort the back four out out.

MM has a record of promotion in the championship and I'd trust him to spend the money we may or may not get wisely

This slump has become a full blown, career defining crisis for Adkins now; with 3 goals being conceded in 4 of the last 5 games, it is clear that there is a major problem, and whilst there has to be sympathy for the injuries and ownership debacle, the fact of the matter is that this simply cannot go on.

I cannot believe that he has too much more time to turn things round, and with some hideous games coming up (Blackburn, Charlton, Cardiff and Norwich all looming large) anything other than victories at home against Rotherham and Blackpool should herald the end for him.

As for who to replace him, what are we looking for? Someone with the experience of success in this Division of firstly steadying the ship, and then pushing on next season; who has knowledge of our club and players, and who the vast majority of fans would genuinely like to have as Manager of the club.

In my mind there is one obvious candidate and that's to bring back Brian.

I'd rather see us try and coax Mourinho away from Chelsea before we approach Moyes.

As he so often does, Mr A has nailed it here.

I am bemused as to why people seem to think Adkins somehow deserves a full season. Any manager you can think of would be in serious danger of losing his job if a run of particularly diabolical form of the type we are suffering extended much further.

Shouldn't the question be "who do you bagsy for the job?"
Because that's about the level of the discussion.

I bagsy Jürgen Klopp. Looks what a rubbish job he's doing with Dortmund! Klopp out!!
