Meoci71 Garath McAuley not getting a look in at WBA with the form of Lescott and Dawson, surely worth an attempt to get him in at cb until jan on loan.

WoodleyRoyal would get them mixed up on the pitch aswell,as their names would look the same on the backs of their shirts.

Pepe the Horseman McAuley is a great shout, although presumably WBA need him as cover.

WoodleyRoyal out! couldn't cope with a gareth mcauley and a mccleary in the same team, would get them mixed up on the pitch aswell,as their names would look the same on the backs of their shirts.

The trialist is Jure Travner. Slovenian defender. No indications he will sign. Is one of several trialists #readingfc have looked at.

RoyalBlue The other night Adkins came out with the classic 'Nick Hammond' is working really hard'. That is something we have heard on many occasions from every manager during his time as DOF.
So is Nick Hammond just really crap at his job or is he trying to sign loan players whilst he has both hands firmly tied behind his back by the Chairman/Owners?

Option C - it's hard to get good players on short term loans?
I would suggest that the likes of Bertrand, Griffin, Zurab, Legs, Baird, Sharp and Murray testify to Hammond's ability at securing loans (and frees). I would also suggest that he wouldn't even be bothering if there was no possibility. It's probably just a case of finding a more experienced player who is prepared to swallow his pride and a club who are prepared to let him go.

refuses to pay more than a player is worth
refuses to pay more than we as a club can afford
as any good DOF should
