Hughton wants to go to Fulham.
Is there really too much difference between us and them?

I agree there isnt much difference between us and them, in terms of size/fanbase etc. were pretty similar. I guess its the fact they were an established PL club for over a decade, (which is probably what Hughton is thinking) but if things went well under the rught management and ownership, there is no reason why we couldnt do that as well.

I noticed Clarke was a pundit on ITV on Tuesday, maybe we could tempt him with a challenge....

Oh, and I just rememebered the difference in funds. The fee they paid for McCormack should explain the point.

If Adkins was to get the boot in the next few weeks, which would be bad timing if we're due to be getting a few of the injured players back, I'd be jumping on the Steve Clarke bandwagon (although I'd possibly give Dolan a fair crack of the whip if he wanted the job - I suspect he doesn't).

I've always been a big Hoddle fan, and thought he might've got it in the past, and if he's looking to get back into full time management then he'd be a great candidate, but for me Clarke probably ticks more boxes.

For me Adkins gets a little longer to try and get his squad fit, better balanced and performing well. If we continue to stutter as we are though I wouldn't be surprised, or too disappointed, to see him axed.

It's all a bit shit and I had hoped NA would be able to get a bit more out of the team available than he has but I can't say with any confidence that our poor run is more his fault than circumstance and would hope he gets at least a few games with a working squad (namely replacements for players lost i.e. some decent CB's, and the return of our more defensive midfielders to balance the team) before he is given the boot.

I'm not sure any manager could coax goals out of Blackman, or keep clean sheets with only attacking mids available and a Pearce/Hector CB pairing at the back.

I'm not even a real fan of Adkins, I'm just genuinely unsure what is to blame for our form and more of a "give a guy a chance" kinda bloke.

David Moyes if NA goes but still think it's a bit premature having a thread on this as the circumstances have led to this - i.e. the injury list is still a major issue ...if it was minimal then then I could see the point, interesting to see who people would like tho!

I would like Tony Pulis.

Not exactly the football style I like but he knows this league and the next one and he knows how to get the defence organised.

In a way the injury list may save him. It is a difficult task to push the team on at the moment with few options to switch things around to find a spark or more effective combinations.

On the flip side of that though, the injury list might just cause him his job. It's his training and (presumably) his medical/fitness team that have been looking after the squad and so who's ultimately to blame that he's got so few options? The manager isn't it?

The squad isn't that bad, even allowing for injuries. A better manager would have got better results, it's as simple as that.

Adkins just isn't the right fit for some reason.

Di Matteo and Moyes almost certainly wouldn't consider coming here. Pulis is a bit more realistic, but utterly pointless and would still probably hold out for better.

I wanted Gibbs to replace Coppell, I wanted Gibbs (and then McDermott) to replace Rodgers, I wanted Dolan to replace McDermott, and I'd like Dolan to replace Adkins. But right now there's no need.

It's got some pretty huge weak spots and a lot of inexperience.

I would like Nigel Atkins to be the team manager. I don't understand why all you pcunts can't start supporting Atkins rather than constantly ridiculing him.

Support the the whole team including the management you bunch of pcunts.....

Who is this Atkins person you mention?

Is he any better than our current incompetent incumbent?

Dolan. He didn't do badly before and to be fair I think he may of got us back up last season

But I think you'd be surprised. I think Moyes may well join us. Would give us another Premier League link in Everton

Some decent loans and a jolly good day out for Madejski and Kenwright

windermere_royal No Tony Pulis?

He's not doing anything-call him in (on a nice bung) for a couple of weeks to at least organise the defence.

That said even though he walked away from Palace-probably legal ramifications.
