Reading Vs Blackpool (H) Match Thread

by seanboyd_2 » 25 Oct 2014 14:33

Team News:

Reading:
Federici, Gunter (C), Obita, Pearce, Hector, Akpan, Norwood, Robson-Kanu, Mackie, Cox, Murray

Subs:
Andersen, S Kelly, Cooper, Kuhl, Taylor, Blackman, Pogrebnyak

Blackpool:
Lewis, Daniels, Clarke, Rentmeister, Perkins, Orlandi, Lundstram, Zoko, Delfouneso, E Oriol, Miller

Subs:
Parish, Dielna, Mellis, Cywka, Mendy, Blackman, Ranger

One change in the team, Murray in for Blackman, again not much protection for our back four but lets so how this pans out.

EDIT: Good to see Kelly back in the team?? He can maybe bring some stabilization to the back four

EDIT2: Want to watch the game? http://www.wiz1.net/channel37

Low attendance by the sounds, Blackpool started quite well, but then drifting out of the game. We've not taken any opportunities as we come into the game.

I find that at least a little more promising than us starting well and then running out of steam to surrender the initiative to Blackpool.

Question of who can play worse and who'll take a chance.

0-0 the favourite right now.

Well, we've scored and Blackpool look shit, but I'm not overly comfortable at 1-0.

Akpan still has a tendency to control it to the opposition. Gunter's not looking especially dominant, Murray is fouling a bit too much, HRK is largely anonymous and we're going long a lot more than I'd like.

But to be honest this is all about the result and stopping the rot. How we play is less important. We've played well and committed defensive seppuku to lose, the key is not gifting Blackpool goals and getting some confidence back.

BiROFLmingham.

1-0 in 2 mins, down to 10 men in the 7th, 'tactical' substitution in the 10th, 3-0 down at half time

If they're willing to text into to share their unconsidered views with a broadcaster and the general public it doesn't speak highly of their judgment.

I am not liking all these deflected strikes, one is going to end up in the back of the net :(.

Looks like Blackpool have started stronger in the second half.

I have now officially lost patience with Robson-Kanu. I would prefer the limited Taylor or no end product show pony Blackman.

Fair point. 3pts is more important.
