Royality creeps In
semtex1871 I would like Nigel Atkins to be the team manager. I don't understand why all you pcunts can't start supporting Atkins rather than constantly ridiculing him.

Support the the whole team including the management you bunch of pcunts.....

Atkins in........

Who is this Atkins person you mention?

Is he any better than our current incompetent incumbent?

  I'll take this........

No squad is perfect with strengths and weaknesses in certain areas and a blend of inexperience and experience. Injuries are a fact of life. A better manager would have got more out of this squad, injuries or no injuries. That's what good managers do.

Eddie Howe is a manager who like to play the ball but his teams can do it with the squad that they have.
Somewhere between Adkins and Coppell in style.
Hope Adkins goes to Leeds.

Come on Madejski, bite the bullet & sack him. It's not like he was your man anyway so it shouldn't be that emotional.

Pretty sure it's not his decision.

Anyone voting for Parkinson or Brian are clueless.

Parky has a couple of promotions under his belt but tends to take years to get them there. Will having a club legend in the dugout compensate for watching awful, non winning football for years? His last two attempts at managing in the top two divisions were a disaster.

Love him but don't want him back as manager.

Brian?? Why go back to that brand of football? yes he got us up but we will never progress further under him. All water under the bridge now.

People are thinking with their hearts rather than their heads..

Rubbish. If Brian had been given a little more than £2.5m for the PL we'd still be there with him. £2.5m - he and we never had a chance. What's wrong with his "brand of football"? Fast, attacking wing play with players giving their all. 100 times better than this tepid cr@p.

I'd have Ched Evans as manager now if it meant we were rid of Adkins

Adkins is up against it now, and rightly so.

The players coming back need to save him by hitting the ground running and injecting some confidence and form back into the side. Until he's had a few games of Williams, MacLeary and the others to call on I can't see the club making any sort of decision to get rid of him. Once he's had more of his squad available and performances and results don't improve I think both the fans and the board will start to get (rightly) twitchy. Then we'll see if anyone is actually in place to make the tough decisions.

If we don't win one of this weeks games (Rotherham or Charlton), I think its time for a change.

We have a big squad (OS shows 38) of talented players and Adkins has had plenty of time to assess them and he has also added 4 players of his choosing in the summer.

The issue must be team selection and tactics.

How long before Adkins will concede that this squad is not Arsenal and we cant play the way they do?

That comment is letting Adkins off the hook. It's nothing to do with the players. It's about effort and organisation, not playing like Arsenal.

Agreed. Our squad is more than capable of keeping possession, but we're leaking goals. We have proven quality defenders at this level like Gunter, Pearce and even Obita. They're not doing as well as they should be.

The suggestion that we have 38 quality players seems far-fetched, particularly as it includes Ferdinand, Williams, Keown, Karacan, Kelly, McCleary and Drenthe who haven't been available, five goalkeepers, and the usual bunch of young players who aren't ready yet (and several who will never be).

Our squad is notionally big, but it is spread unevenly. We have plenty of wide midfielders but only one credible left back.
