[quote="SCIAG"]Results since the last post:

The U21s drew 3-3 with Middlesborough. A bit of an unconventional setup, with Dickie, Hyam, Keown and Sweeney all playing. Dickie at right back, Griffin left back, Keown and Hyam in the middle, and Sweeney partnering a returning Tshibola in midfield. Liam Kelly behind Samuel with Fosu and Owusu on the wings. Griffin, Fosu and Samuel scored for us. Novakovich came off the bench. We should have won but we got caught out on the counter attack twice, with Griffin being lucky to stay on the pitch. Tshibola only played an hour but Keown played the whole match.

U21s are 3-1 against the division leaders, take off a centre forward, midfielder and draw 3-3. Tactical error

U18s lost 2-1 to Spurs. Novakovich missed a penalty but also scored. Sheppard excellent once again.

Team this evening:
--------------------Andersen------------------
-Long---Ferdinand---Cooper----Griffin--
-----------------------Kuhl----------------------
Stacey---Williams---Tshibola---Edwards
---------------------Samuel---------------------
Subs: Lincoln, Sweeney, Dickie, Fosu, Cardwell

That's more like it!

Disappointed not to see Keown involved - injured again or just not back to his best? It sounds like Long is playing well though. I'd also like to see Owusu in for Dickie or even Griffin.

Imagine we'll see Fosu or Cardwell on for Williams (with Edwards maybe moving behind the striker - either way, a formation change). Bit of a strain on the two box-to-box midfielders who have just returned from injury.

Samuel's missed two difficult chances already, sounds like we're doing well - as we should be with that team!

As predicted, Fosu on for Williams at half time. Change to 4-2-3-1 with Edwards behind Samuel.

Did Ferdinand play the full game or just a half as well?

Ferdinand played an hour before coming off for Sweeney. Cardwell came on for Samuel late on and scored our first, though Cooper's shot was going in anyway.

Ugly scenes at the end - Brighton had their keeper sent off for the penalty to make it 2-0, then another sent off for dissent.

Glad we won and the two returning players got some minutes in. Hopefully the U21s can find some form now with (nearly) everyone fit and available again.

U18's arrest their alarming slump in form to record an excellent 2-1 victory against Chelsea

We've only just got Kuhl available for selection again and now he's injured :(

Hopefully this isn't a long term thing. Our next competitive U21 match isn't for another month, all being well then we should also have Tanner fit by then.

Couldn't have come at a worse time for him. Could really stall his career like Samuel's injury did.

winchester_royal Aresnal away for the U18's in the Youth Cup.

Arsenal are one of the few teams that nominate a ground other than their normal home stadium for the earlier rounds of the FA Youth Cup. So expect this game to be at Boreham Wood. Should be played before 20 December.

This is of course a tie between the two losing semi-finalists from last season.

Some recent updates:

- The U18s beat Norwich 5-0. Goals from Sheppard, Ethelston, Davis, Cardwell and Novakovich gave us a huge lead in the first half. We sat back a bit after that. Novakovich was taken off so he'd be fresh for the U21s and Barrett returned from injury. Sheppard is really good and Davis has been a revelation. Husin got two assists.
- The U21s had a cup match against QPR. They won 3-0. Kuhl and Tshibola both got 90 minutes. First goal was Samuel after an excellent pass from Tshibola, then a Fosu free kick, then Novakovich won (and scored) a penalty late on after coming on as a sub. Makes up for him missing a few weeks ago.
- Two of our U15s - a midfielder and a forward - have been training with the England camp. This is the team that won the Nike Cup last season. They're both good players and I think some of their team mates were unlucky not to join them. Hoping this side will be Youth Cup finalists.
- Icelandic attacking midfielder scores amazing free kick:

The U16s and U18s never seem to win on the same weekend...

Against Villa, the U16s won 1-0, and the U18s lost 2-1.

Only on the bench though imagine he'll come on at some point.
Almost full-time and stunning scoreline, 5-1 away to Villa! Samuel hat-trick, another Fosu free-kick (this time deflected), and Stacey.
