Forest Gump I sense that Guthrie has lost all interest in Reading. Shame but let's assume he will not play for us again.
I also think after this long out we will be very lucky to see either Karacan or Ferdinand.
We might get Williams back so 1 out of 4 could be the best that we can hope for.

Ian RoyalRoyallyFcuked Guthrie is starting to p me off, never fit to play more than about 3 games, and when he does play he often doesnt look fit enough. Not sure how commited he is tbh, probably our second highest earner I'm guessing (after dog), and it wouldnt surprise me if he's actually in no rush to get back to full fitness and is happy to keep picking up the money for doing fcuk all.
I did believe he would come good but not sure anymore, wouldnt care if he left now as we have Norwood, Williams, Akpan and Kuhl. I think all of those players deserve a place more than Guthrie and IMO Williams and Norwood will be a great CM partnership which I am looking forward to seeing.
If you'd seen him react to getting injured again last season, you'd know that's not very likely.

Nameless He will be getting less money when he's injured than if he was playing. Ok, his basic wage will be enough to ensure his kids don't starve and the mortgage gets paid but if he is (as you imply) purely financially motivated he'll be annoyed at missing out on appearance/win/goal bonuses.
And of course he may also quite enjoy playing.

What a bafflingly strange thing to say. Do you know him personally? How exactly are you "sensing" this?
The same Ferdinand and Karacan that are stepping up their training, and Ferdinand who played in an U21 game?
1 out of 4 is not the best we could hope for. Your post is ridiculous.

His monthly wage will be more than me and you earn in all year (I'm assuming). I do not have the slightest fear that his kids will starve and I'm sure selling his Range could cover any unpaid mortgage fees...
He's on big wages injured or not. He's not playing. Deadwood.

Graham didn't increase the sense of humour factor with the recent upgrade did he....
Why Pick on Guthrie ? Jemma will be on very decent money and has had two injury spells each of which meant he missed more games than Guthrie. Injuries happen in sport, players hare being injured. While you may get the odd player who tries it on for bizarre reasons I really can't see many players being stupid enough to reduce their immediate earnings, condemn themselves to weeks of boredom and reduce their long term earning power by faking injuries. If you think that" s what happens then I'll reserve the right to not agree.

windermere_royal Williams as declared himself fit for Saturday, unlikely to be in the starting line up , but a place on the bench is probable.

Probably because Jem has always played his heart out for RFC and Guthrie has form for saying he's injured when it's very questionable if he is.

It happened once.

GH Royal Can anyone possibly say they have seen Guthrie play with anywhere near the passion that Jem has though? I'm not saying Guthrie isn't interested I just don't think they're anywhere near the same in that regard.
Jem is one of us, plays with passion and loves the club, and both his injuries have been serious.
Guthrie has had previous for bad attitude, undoubtedly earns more than Jem, and in all honesty we have two very similar players in Norwood and Kuhl.
I have nothing against Guthrie, simply stating he's a big investment that we're currently getting little return on.

And I'll repeat, the things you're justifying your complaint on are nothing to do with attitude.
