I think you'll find RRs posts are really about RR. That's his thing.

As for this thread, its hard to add anything from the last game, or the game before that, or the game before that, or from months ago, really. You could say its only a matter of time, but we've played the also rans* now, and now have a period of proper contenders. The excuses about the quality of the opposition have been made and filed away for future reference. He'll hang on to his job at least well into December now. We've had our chance to put the pressure on, but the home crowd has been so weak-willed or absent that NA has escaped unscathed through a general air of ennui. Its all rather depressing, really.

*Yep. Charlton are also-rans - or we should consider them as so. They were undeniably crap last year, and we should, at least, be matching their progress. Either Charlton are decent, and which their simple existence embarrasses NA - or they just aren't as good as they've been touted. Im going for the latter. I really cant believe that less than two seasons after coming out of the premiership we've allowed ourselves to fall to a point where we cant even question a home defeat to Charlton.

are you retarded?

The first third of my life has passed without reason to believe so, but go on, I'll bite: what's upsetting you about my post?

Oh I don't know. Possibly your blind optimism or your enthusiasm for what was a dreary game of dull football.

Retarded was probably a bit strong. I really can't be arsed with Reading anymore that's what the last two years has done.

I'm rather glad that most of last year's boo boys have vanished or grown up tbh.

Royal Rother Every team that has experienced a relegation within the last 2 years will have a significant percentage of supporters with ideas above their station.

Where those clubs are languishing in the bottom half and the manager has been in place for more than 3 months those supporters will be creating "Manager OUT!!!" threads on their club forums.

I want success and I want it NOW!!!

Sorry Rother I generally like most of your posts but you are using extremes to rationalise your point of view rather than the reality.....which is he's had the job 2 years almost & we get buttfcuked by every team we play bar the other few relegation candidates.

Do you actually watch the games? We are shit.....We are massively shit...We are hopeless.

We've gone from almost having yo-yo club status to fighting to stay in this division which frankly with the players we have is unacceptable.

Just to reiterate in case you don't fully understand - fans are switching off in their thousands. Worst attendance in a decade last week, 1 page match threads on HNA - this all suggests to me that a large proportion of fans are simply not enjoying it any more.

Lets see where we're at in a month shall we? I.e. when we've actually had to play some half decent teams. We'll be lucky to ave 1 ppg over the next 6 weeks or so & we probably find ourselves languishing around 19-21st but hey everything is rosy in the garden!

He hasn't been to a game for years but thinks he knows it all. Ignore him.

 Just making a general observation about football and supporters in general. Like most of my posts on the Team Board, it was one that, as always, you proved completely unable to ignore.

I suggest you put me on your foe list as that might help you resist reading my observations.

Think Pardew at Newcastle who has made their supporters look like idiots once again.... Decent chance Adkins will do the same I'd say.

We shall see.

In reality whether he stays or goes doesn't really matter much to me, but I do think the modern way in football of sacking managers as soon as the team performs below expectations for a period of time is folly.

That's the real point I was making but I appreciate it went over your head choosing to bite on my slightly supercilious tone. Which is pretty much the aim of course.

windermere_royal congratulations for starting the 10th thread on the same subject

Do I get a special prize?
I thought that immediately after posting it, but it demonstrates just how frustrated everyone is with him.
When was todgers sacked? Around christmas right? Just before the FA cup game with liverpool when shlong scored after the cross from bryn??

What it demonstrates is that the people posting it aren't capable of enough rational thought to stick it in the obvious place. Which renders their judgement somewhat questionable.

Problem is you shouldn't have to "try" to enjoy something. If you're trying to enjoy it then it isn't enjoyable.

Read it again. Nothing about "trying to enjoy it".

Right, same thing applies though, if you want to enjoy something then it's not enjoyable.

I want to enjoy a few beers later, and I'm very confident I will.

Sometimes Rother, I think there are only 10 people on this site with an IQ over 60.

I'm not particularly smart, but comments like this make me look like a genius in comparison.

It'd be less likely if someone was standing about whinging whilst he's doing it. But that's not the fault of the beers.

Big difference between "I'm going to enjoy" and "I want to enjoy"
