Yellowcoat The same chap who took a look at both Reading & Crystal Palace and claimed to have approached several others. One of the reasons why it does not pay to accept bids as quickly as some fans wish.

After two days of talks and this happens  http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/picture-new-owner-reading-fc-7272726

He's a thug with no interest in the club. Doesn't sound the brightest of thugs either.

Agreement has been made for Coventry City to return to the Ricoh Arena. Could potentially happen in the next 6 weeks.

A ridiculous situation finally resolved.

6th September they return.

Pleased for them in some ways, but I really hoped they'd build a new ground better located towards the centre if Coventry. The Ricoh is almost exactly like our place, an absolute ballache to get to from the station, no pubs anywhere nearby, and a bitch of a place to get away from.

They better hope they don't get relegated before this is resolved...

But this is the only way to really tackle this isn't it?

The PL'll win out and QPR will get away with it, but it's absolutely the right way to go about it.

Someone ought to point out to Mr Fernandes that the parachute payments are there to deal with the disparity in wages and that perhaps he should write wage cuts upon relegation into his player's contracts. Of course that would involve taking some oxf*rd responsibility and having some concept of medium term and worst case scenario strategising.

Right now I'm not sure how QPR can get away with it.

It'll be like a wanted man re-entering the country when (not if) they get relegated. A few years in an extradition free country doesn't wipe the slate clean so if the FL hold their ground then the fine ain't going away. Pay up £40m + Interest or fcuk off out of here.

But you can call me naive.

The football league lost its legal credibility more than 20 years ago when Swindon got relegated two divisions, reduced to one on appeal, for make illegal payments to players. Spurs do the same thing a couple of years later and are barred from playing in the FA Cup. Sugar's expensive lawyers wipe the floor with the FA and are reinstated before they could say can we clean your jag for you as well?

In a microcosm of life, money talks and bullshit walks, and Tone has got shitloads of the stuff.

Best thing for all would be a complete scrapping of parachute payments forcing cubs to accept they can't compete with the really big boys and that way the 75% of clubs who have zero chance of getting near the top 6/7 places can compete with themselves on a much safer basis.

And just perhaps the PL should be scrapped and replaced with a 12 team elite league and a 20 team division 2. Least then you'd have a top league where 50% of the division might win it...

Update from my post of 16th June about the situation at Hereford. A lot to read but it's worth it. Also listen to the audio clip linked at the bottom.

(Taken from saveedgarst.com)

‘The greatest cockney rip off!’

Not the words of this blog but the words of a caller that could be Tommy Agombar. The caller even said it on tape and this blog has a copy. You can listen to it too.

Many supporters will remember that the phone numbers of the new regime circulated like wildfire on social media shortly after the takeover and the clubs subsequent expulsion from the Conference. Naturally feelings were running high. Many fans called and text our Tommy to vent their frustrations. Tommy spoke to many fans and returned many texts.

Following a twitter appeal a London based Bull has been in touch regarding voicemails that they received after sending a text to Joel Nathan. We’ve also been anonymously sent a two minute file containing a stream of voicemails that are strongly suspected of being from Tommy Agombar. We bring you an extract of these messages today.

Naturally when contacted by the fans our South Eastern based chums sought to provide reassurance to them that they were here for the right reasons and would be doing everything in their power to right the wrongs enforced on them at the Conference AGM? Wrong.

The person who text Joel received voicemails saying ‘it’s our club now, not yours, not the Hereford United Supporters Trust’. ‘We only came here for the money’ was another response. The final voicemail threatened to kidnap the sender with the line: ‘I’m going to find you and snatch you off the street you little prick’. Sadly these voicemails no longer exist but they are verifiable as they are very similar to the anonymous voicemails we were emailed.

The voicemails that we have received show that someone who sounds a lot like Tommy bombarded a fan with calls for an entire day. The first call is received just after 7am where he invites the fan down to the club for a chat. His final call was just before midnight. He becomes increasingly angry and frustrated as the day moves on and his calls remain unanswered.

The callers feelings to Herefordians become clear early on in the messages. ‘Welsh oxf*rd’, ‘farming oxf*rd’, ‘leek oxf*rd’ and ‘Herefordshire Bull bags’ are a few choice terms he uses to describe locals.

The caller threatens the message sender with a ‘snatch squad waiting in a van’ at the first game of the season. He also reads out names and addresses from season ticket lists threatening to visit the sender if he finds a match with the mobile phone number he received the text from. He also tells the fan: ‘we’ve put your number out in the East End’.

But most significantly the caller taunts the message sender regarding his ownership of the club. He sings: ‘We’ve got your club! It’s ours. You’ve got nuffink’ before bellowing: ‘this is the greatest cockney rip off!’. If you listen closely in the background you can hear a voice that sounds like it could be Andy Lonsdale referring to Edgar Street and proclaiming: ‘We’re going to build a casino on it’. It is this part of the tape that we bring to you today. Please listen to it carefully.

Later on in the day the caller obviously regretted some of his earlier voicemails. In order to try and secure silence the caller makes death threats. Telling the message sender ‘you’re gone’ if they tell anyone or go to the Police.

These messages appear to show the contempt that the new owners hold the fans and Herefordians. They act like some high and mighty big city untouchables. Thinking that they can roll into town, pull the wool over everyones eyes and bully people out of their way. Well someone better tell them Herefords a City too, granted it’s not the biggest but it’s full of proud people who won’t be walked over. Particuarly by a bunch of Essex bullies.

The messages are also appear to be final confirmation, as if anymore was needed, of what the intentions with Edgar Street are. The football is a side show. This is why we’re in the Southern League. This is why our squad is on non-contract terms and not being paid. This is why we’ve used over 45 players by November. This is why the club only took 11 shirts to Frome yesterday and had to borrow water bottles. They think they are here to earn a million and rip everyone off. We must stop them. If you are owed money by the club attach to the winding up petition NOW. You can find instructions on how to do that here: http://www.bullsnews.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... nding.html

We do not know the identity of the original recipient of the voicemails but if the person who received them is reading this blog we strongly recommend they engage with the Police. The content and threats contained within the voicemails are very serious and its only right that the people who left them are brought to justice.

Please share these voicemails far and wide. Show the world what these people are about. Let’s stop the greatest cockney rip off in its tracks. Lets #SaveEdgarStreet.

No huge surprises there.

Mild surprise that the Arse are so close to Chelsea.
