BFTG Norwich

by Sutekh » 28 Nov 2014 16:12

Thought we played quite well for a while without ever threatening. Let down only by the comedy defending from those set pieces.

Still at least Ferdinand managed to survive 90 minutes but losing McLeary again is worrying.

At then end of the day letting 3 at Norwich isn't too bad when you consider the biggest team in the division also conceded 3 there last week.

I agree. Defence yet again failing. Thought we were tedious throughout but what happened to HRK?! He has not had 4 goals in him in 2 years so to get 4 in 2 minutes was unbelievable, really didn't see that coming. Roll on next week! Urrrzzz

That's what happens if you leave before the final whistle!

Can't believe Delia got her clopper out on the pitch at half time quite tidy though

Paul Brooker's cross for Dean Morgan's 2nd goal was nothing short of sublime.

Half time team talk demonstrates that claims Bullivant has "lost the dressing room" are, to say the least, premature.

And now from someone who actually bothered to attend..................
Got to laugh at Gunter. Lets the cross in once again by his constant standing off.... then cries like a pussy to the lino for the offside without realising he was the one that played them on.
Also if Ruddy's feet are on the line and he bends forward to get hold of the ball - surely it's over?
Great day out once again up at Carrow Road - although you wonder what they spend the extortionate ticket money on with the facilities on offer.

Norwich's defeat caused a right old hoo-ha up here with the goalkeeper Ruddy in a twitter spat with fans, Redmond in a spat with fans, and twitter reports of the chief executive McNally in an apparent brawl in a bar late at night after the game.

Here's some footage shortly after the game with some angry Norwich fans got into the main foyer and remonstrated with McNally, who can be seen just at the end of the clip.

And here's what Neil Adams said after the game: “They should not be watching their team losing at home to a team like Reading.'

Hmmm, stick that one on the dressing room wall for the return fixture methinks.

Tbf that's the sort of thing Adkins should be saying rather than bigging up the oppo every week.

Didn't play particularly well, but every single one of the players worked their bum off for their manager. Cooper an absolute titan in both boxes, and Hector looked much improved.

Despite not having much possession we didn't look remotely threatened till the Murphy chance at the end.

Cooper looks a beast of a player. With him, Hector, Sweeney, Hyam and Dickie we have a very promising central defence for a long time if we can just get through breaking them in.

Susprised Cox was dropped. Who played left right and hole/ second striker?

Different formation from recent weeks:

Mcleary
Obita
Norwood
Wiliams
Kanu

as a sort of 451/433

With norwood deepest of midfield three and Mcleary and Kanu out wide

Thought that might be the case... only real way dropping Cox makes sense. Try to stop the rot by switching more defensive.

Think we'll see Cox back in, hopefully for HRK for the next two home games which should be more winnable again. Hopefully.

We really need a string of decent results. Confidence and enjoying playing is key. It's the difference between bottom half and top half.
