Pandoras Box And now from someone who actually bothered to attend..................
Got to laugh at Gunter. Lets the cross in once again by his constant standing off.... then cries like a pussy to the lino for the offside without realising he was the one that played them on.
Also if Ruddy's feet are on the line and he bends forward to get hold of the ball - surely it's over?
Great day out once again up at Carrow Road - although you wonder what they spend the extortionate ticket money on with the facilities on offer.

I think Gunter may have a point - he was behind Federici as the ball was flicked on which would mean Hooper was offside

No it wouldnt. To be onside a player needs to have two defenders between him and the goal line, so e.g. if Federici was further forward than his goal line it would have been him playing the attacker onside. However, reviewing the incident both Gunter and Federici were on the goal line when the ball was flicked on, so Gunter was effectively playing him on. With Gunter very close to the lino, and the flcik on happenining near the penalty area, the lino simply missed Gunter, and the ref had seen him, correcting the lino's error.

And here's what Neil Adams said after the game: “They should not be watching their team losing at home to a team like Reading

Tbf he's absolutely spot on. With the way we've played over the past 2 years a team like Norwich, with the players they have, should not be losing to a team like us. As uncomfortable as it may be to hear it's the truth, I fear we are now hovering about where, given our lack of investment and inflexible tactics, we should be...

Do I blame Nigel for it? Not entirely, he can't help the lack of funds or the rather freakish injury problems, but his bizarre line up choices and his overwhelmingly miss placed trust in HRK are his fault.

Norfolk Royal Norwich's defeat caused a right old hoo-ha up here with the goalkeeper Ruddy in a twitter spat with fans, Redmond in a spat with fans, and twitter reports of the chief executive McNally in an apparent brawl in a bar late at night after the game.

Here's some footage shortly after the game with some angry Norwich fans got into the main foyer and remonstrated with McNally, who can be seen just at the end of the clip.

Hmmm, stick that one on the dressing room wall for the return fixture methinks.

Not sure who our board equivalent of this kid is, but he's not too happy either.

He seems to think we played decent attacking football (skip to the 5min mark)

Norwich just seem to be yet another team who've come down from the PL and can't come to terms with it, they got relegated because they weren't good enough for the PL - simple as.

Making a solid start just helped feed the delusions that the Champ was only a temporary blip as they still think they're a PL outfit. There are already bigger clubs than Norwich toiling away in this division, terribly biased one eyed supporters in that part of the world.

Looks like we were set up to counterattack, and did so effectively, including being solid in defense.

Really pleased for Jake Cooper, saw him lose concentration and make mistakes several times for u18s so wondered if he had the head for it, but he's been solid every time he's been asked to be involved.

We need a left back.

Froomes overwhelmingly miss placed trust in HRK are his fault.

Tbf he's not the first Reading manager to have a confusing admiration for HRK.

I've seen Jake Cooper play twice this season, at Sheff Wed away and Blackburn away in which he started both. After both those games I said he stood out as our best defender so there shouldn't really be a question.
Adkins shouldn't have dropped him after either of those games, so to do so again after Saturday would be an absolute joke.
Pearce has been mediocre at best for more than a while now and makes far too many mistakes, whereas Cooper has hardly put a foot wrong. It could be the start of a great partnership with Hector.

Cooper also played well up at Scunny in the COCup early in the season too (the one time I've seen him play so far)

Don't be daft. Over the last decade or so we've had just as much success, if not more, than Norwich. They went down to League One a few years ago don't forget.

I went to Carrow Road years ago, think we drew 1-1, season after they'd been relegated. Their fans were saying then 'you know you've been relegated when you draw at home with Reading'.

Hence I said 2 years!

Using your 10 year logic most of the teams in the premier league should be upset if Man City beat them...

I did see a comment by a Southampton fan saying they would be disappointed if they lost to Man City, so I had a small chuckle when they got hammered by 10 men.

Martin Jol? He said similar after we'd deservedly beaten his Spurs team at the Madejski in 06/07. If you lose to Reading you know something's wrong...
