Actually, they just announced the teams hit by transfer embargos today, so basically we waiting until the FFP financial details had been submitted to sack Adkins.

seanboyd_2 This is a MASSIVE mistake, the board have just relegated this club, should have waited until the end of this season.

Only hope is to get a new manager in now and give him HUGE financial backing in January if they don't do this then we will be going down.

It was time for him to go. This is still a good squad, we don't need to spend bucketloads we just need to balance the squad a bit better.

This had to happen results were just getting worse, but I did wonder if we could afford to pay him up.

It's the right decision in my view.

I don't think he's a bad manager but didn't suit our club.

Interesting to see who they go for now. I'd love to see ?McDermott back but I think Dolan is the favourite if he wants the job.

À decent guy, who operated under Hugely challenging circumstances but ultimately failed to bring about a change in style, and played a brand of football I hated.
Dolan in? Or are they lining up Brian?
Pretty sure the defence would improve at least

Couldn't give a fcuk... It's going to be a cheapo replacement, a yes man grateful for the opportunity... Hope it's Dolan in that sense but really don't think it'll better the club.

Really disappointed we were not getting the results we should be with this squad, but i can understand why this decision was made.

I cant see anyone else but Dolan to take over, whoever it is, good luck and hope he does well.

The 6-1 really killed him, if he had carried on in our current form we would have trundled along to a low mid-table finish but the manner of that loss and to the calibre of opposition was just too far beyond what is acceptable, even with all the mitigating circumstances.

I reckon if Madejski and Hammond are picking it will be Dolan.
If it's up to the Thais, then who knows...

It's a very sad day for me, but I'm afraid it was inevitable.

You can go through a bad patch, but if you have no ideas on how to turn it around, you're toast.

I was convinced he was the right man for us, and there were glimpses of what could have been a real change and improvement in the way this club plays it's first team football.

Eamon Dolan it is for me.

Thanks Nigel.

I think Uwe Rosler would be worth a shot.

According to some we won't need to as he'll be snapped up by a European giant before the week's up

Don't think Adkins deserved to be sacked. In all probability it's a knee-jerk reaction to the 6-1.

I rate Dolan highly, I just hope he has some ideas that Adkins doesn't. I don't want an external appointment unless it is someone with an existing connection to the club, so McDermott, Viveash, or Parky, in approximately that order (unless Liverpool hurry up and sack Rodgers!).

tidus_mi2 Actually, they just announced the teams hit by transfer embargos today, so basically we waiting until the FFP financial details had been submitted to sack Adkins.

Yeah, that's rubbish. And this decision, at the very least, proves wrong all the people who said we couldn't afford to sack him.
