Haag Royal I don't wish to be too damming of our newly to be appointed manager but his record at West Brom was hardly one that set the world alight

Managerial record at West Brom (June 2012 - Dec 2013)
Played 60
Won 19
Drawn 15
Lost 26

I hope he does better at RFC

:|

decent enough record for 1st time manager, of a shit club, in the premiere league imo

Exactly. PL & chump is different gravy. He won 1/3 of his Prem games which with a team like WBA frankly is not that shabby.

I know it's good to use stats as fit our argument, but it doesn't really do his time in charge at WBA justice to state those numbers that plainly.

Including cup games, the record from his first 15 games in charge is 9 wins and 2 draws, with 4 defeats.

So after that, it was just 10 wins from 40 games.

Argument as to how much impact Hodgson's signings/tactics had on his first few months in charge is for another day, if at all, but I don't think Clarke's time at West Brom was the success some have made it out to be.

Silver Fox Correctly whelmed, he did a decent enough job at WBA, not like anyone was expecting a massive name where they?

Team West Brom

yea stunning lololol, lost almost half his games in charge.

Typical Reading Fan Silver Fox all excited until the facts arrive.

He's a Yes man who's cheap and can't spend what isn't there, ala McD Adkins

Co-Chairwoman Lady Sasima Srivikorn said, “We have appointed Steve because of his proven history as a manager and coach. We have chosen a leader who can develop our players and help them perform to the best of their ability. We will monitor the transfer market in the next window, but within the limits of Financial Fair Play, so therefore Steve has the right attributes to help our squad and he was our first choice. We look forward to moving up the league and the board share the view that we have found the right man in Steve.”

i.e he was the cheap option

Exactly, they stayed up under his watch, and weren't even certs to go down the year they binned him

WTF does "he's a yes man" even mean? It's not like he's got history with the Thais so will do what they say, just sounds like the kind of buzzword a keyboard warrior who just posts negative shite would come up with

For those who aren't whelmed by Steve Clarke, can I just point out (in case someone hasn't - I haven't got time to read the last six pages yet).

He's balding.
His first name is Steve.
His initials are SC.

We are going up, say we are going up!

107, 107, we'll break our record, 107.

I'd rather we didn't, that doesn't scan very well.

So who would be able to spend what isn't there? The invisible man?

We'll do remarkably well to break our record. The maximum we can get now is 100 points.
