From Despair To Where? For me, the statement he made today that finally acknowledges that actually, it's not just his life that's been oxf*rd up by this whole situation is a big step in the right direction for him.
That was the big issue for me, that he stops being so self piteous and actually acknowledges the wider implications and significance to others of what happened,

Ian Royal I don't like the idea of convicted criminals of particularly unpleasant crimes going back into extremely well paid jobs.

It's all staged managed crap though isn't it. Ched quite clearly has nothing between his ears and is following his advisors, agent, solicitors advice. They obviously feel that if he stays out of the game while the review of the case takes place he will never get back to anywhere near league level again as the process will take too long.
The comments today are for no ones benefit than his own. If he is successful in overturning the conviction quite quickly there will be no shortage of Championship clubs chasing his services. It drags on for 18 months or more and he will be playing for Rhyl in the Welsh Premier.

From Despair To Where? As for Gordon Taylor comparing his case to Hillsborough? Clueless, tactless idiot. Whilst i understand the point he was trying to make, you don't compare a night out on the pull gone wrong with the deaths of 96 people and it's subsequent 20 year cover up by the authorities.

I dont see how the wages someone earns after leaving prison have any bearing on anything really.
Find it a bit odd to have an issue with the money a criminal may legitimately earn after being punished

I can see the point he was making, that the information in the public domain and the public/medias perceptions based on that can be misleading, but it was such a daft thing for someone in his position to say. It doesn't really warrant the outrage that it seems it's creating but it's just a stupid comparison to make because that outrage wasn't difficult to predict.

Mr Angry
Also, the point was made last night on the radio that as Oldham's gates this season have totalled less than the 60,000 who signed the on-line petition saying they didn't want him at the club, the likelihood is that very few if any of those signatories were actually Oldham fans.

Yup - Don't think footballers need publicity on their private lives. I think he would also come in and work his socks off to prove that he wasn't a bad egg.
It's not like he dragged a girl off a street and raped her, they had a threesome, she felt like a slut, she cried rape, he got found unfairly (in my opinion) guilty.
He's not a fcuking dangerous predator ffs. He did what any lad would do when offered the chance of a threesome.
