Having seen his goals compilation on getreading, none of them were headers and almost all were excellent composed finishes.

We lump it long to isolated strikers. I'd have though a half decent header of the ball was a bit of a necessity.

Worth noting that he also plays as a winger, think he might of been a winger until a couple of seasons ago. Would assume he's capable in any sort of attacking position apart from target man, maybe he's a potential number 10?

I agree, but a few of his goals (from the VT) were near post finishes from cut-backs / low crosses from the goalline, which is something McCleary, Blackman, HRK and Gunter do quite a bit... so maybe he is ideal! And I guess not having a big lump up top would reduce the amount of long balls we play?

Having seen his compilation on getreading, I'd say the standard of goalkeeping he's used to facing is outstandingly poor...

The last thing we need is another forward who's not quite a striker and not quite a winger. Blackman & HRK are quite enough.

Saying that. If he's any good i spose someone who can score is better than no one

Just seen the video of all his goals in 2014. Looks like a really good finisher, the only problems are that he is 27 (I was expecting someone that is 25 or under), also he has ony had one really high scoring season in a below par league. Still, he definitely looks worth it.

So we've had a bid rejected. Nothing wrong with trying to get a player for as little as possible, as long as we make sure he doesnt slip through our fingers. Because I'm sure there are other teams (who will now have been alerted) that could easily front up the asking price.

That might be because he was clearly a striker.

Doyle started off at Cork as a winger. Even in his final season at Cork whe he was scoring at a fair rate, he was played in more of an inside forward position rather than as a centre forward.

As was the standard of defending. He's still got to hit the target, but I'm not very impressed

Latest Swedish reports saying we have given up on Vibe due to the fact that we refuse to match they're asking price of £1.6million. I can't believe we are refusing to pay an extra couple hundred of grand.
Hopefully we have another target.
