frimmers3 For the first time in living memory,Tottenham not only outplayed Arsenal, they were ,particularly in the second half too powerful for them, a trait not normally associated with Tottenham.

Harry Kane looks quality. Give it another season and he'll be off to a club that plays regularly in the Champions League if he keeps up this form.

Harry has just negotiated a new contract. I t contains no release clause, and was brokered without the use of an agent. Harry is at the Lane to stay.

There is something about Kane that leaves me unconvinced. I cant even put my finger on what it is really.

that is all

It can't be his football, he looks as close to a complete forward as we've had since Shearer.

 all you lot wanking over Kane, it's been half a season ffs every English player gets the same treatment when they score a few goals and they all generally fail

Real Madrid 100 mill

NFA is the only one to come out with any credit by throwing this caveat 'if he keeps up this form'

He failed at Orient 5 in 18
he failed at Millwall 7 in 22
he failed at Norwich 0 in 3
and he failed at Leicester 2 in 13

10 of his goals this season have come in in the EuROFLpa and the LOLeague cup

 you bunch of pcunts

May be a flash in the pan, but 20 Premier League games, 12 goals seems ok to me. Destroyed Chelsea the other week, sunk Arsenal on Saturday.

Almost like as he's improved as a player, he's started to score more goals

Whilst I agree with the "lets wait and see" caveat, those stats are a bit misleading

If you look at his goals per actual starts at Millwall and Orient. Then it's 7 goals in 19 starts and 5 in 9 for Orient. I think it's stretching it to call either of those spells a fail for an 18 year old playing his first senior football. He only made 1 start at Norwich (think he was injured for most of that spell) and 5 at Leicester in a Championship winning side.

I have to confess that like you I'd written him off as a flash in the pan based on what I'd seen earlier in the season but his all round game has impressed me in recent weeks as has the fact that he seems to score a variety of goals and in big games.

It may simply be an extended purple patch and you're right people do seem to be getting a bit carried away this early but equally it seems a bit churlish to deny that he appears to have something about him.

It's not like a Liverpool fan to get massively carried away far too early in his career. Even Michael Ricketts had a good season to get him England recognition.

Well this is awkward...

The Evening Standard report that Real Madrid, who have already signed Luka Modric and Gareth Bale from Tottenham, have watched Spurs hot-shot Harry Kane three times already this season.

I think I am just a natural sceptic and want much more convincing than we have had so far.

Was only a couple of months ago that Berahino was the new gr8est player in the PL and he has already been replaced by Kane in that partcular hype machine

<potentially> as close to....

Great movement, strength to hold off defenders, scores from distance, poaches goals in the six yard box, very good in the air, clinical finisher.

Its the way he runs. Just doesn't look like a natural athlete. Not saying he's isn't decent athlete or can't run quickly and all that he just looks a bit ungainly. Pretty sure S'Alex would sl8 him for his g8. But as Garrincha proved many years ago you have have spazzy legs and still be a world class footballer.
