WoodleyRoyal
Horsham Royal Where's the poll ?
Wigan playoff semi for me as I was less p1ssed than Leicester away.

i thought about putting one, but we would have had a shambles of 'what about Plymouth away in 1954/55 season'

there are too many to mention, like others have added forrest away, the Bolton game, the wolves games at elm park etc etc

and also it's what you've experienced, who am i to decide what you or others like/dislike

Fair nuff ... personally, didn't rate 54/55 Plymouth away

Easily ... Half time West Ham v Reading 2011

Noel Hunt put us 2-1 up right on half time

I'd go along with that. Brilliant day out that was.
I'd also add Liverpool at home about 2008 3-1.
Alf scoring 2 in front of us sent us a bit mental at Soton

Would say Wigan playoff at Mad Stad - missed the West Brom prem game but that prob must have run it close...

Elm Park - most of the above plus Plymouth 85/86 - south bank went mental when we got winner coming back from 3-0 down with 25 mins left.

Best atmosphere for me is when the away fans suddenly go quiet. That initial part where you can only hear the roar of the home fans.

That Wigan semi final being sat near their fans and seeing the disbelief on their faces just before the anger started.

Cardiff after Feds equalised at the death.

And the aforementioned Chelsea match the last time we were in the PL when they were singing "we are the champions of Europe" for ages until alf scored twice and they suddenly stopped.

Wigan play-off semi for me, but I'll throw in the home game against Forest in 1997, I think? 2-0 and 3-1 down, Steve Stone's open goal miss, Lambert's brilliant solo effort and a classic Reading comeback. I'm still convinced Primus was onside for his disallowed goal too!

Maguire Elm Park: 2-1 win over Bolton on a Friday night toward the end of the 94/95 season. There were more people in Elm Park that night than live in Reading, or at least it felt like. Southbank went utterly spastic when Nogan scored the winner.

MadStad: 2-1 win over Wigan in the play-off semi final. I remember looking at the clock on 86 mins and thinking I couldn't believe the season was going to end that way. When Forster scored the winner I could feel the stand moving underneath
my feet. One of the very few times Reading fans have lost their collective shit at that ground.

Away: 1-1 against Leicester to send us up to the Prem. If you weren't there, you weren't there.

Definately the Bolton game.

I'd go along with Lux on the 74/5 promotion run in, the Tranmere game in particular. There was also a halcyon Bank Holiday weekend around that time including a home match against Aldershot when we were in some sort of promotion season, 1978 I think. The atmos was kicking that whole weekend.

For that game alone Meaker should be forgiven all sins. I also recall Williams giving a cheeky smile and 1-0 motion to the south bank as we politely asked him the score.

What about the quarter final and the semi final of the Simod cup. We won the semi on penalties. Gilkes scored the winner I think. Plus the final of course!

LUX More recently, the away end at Forest when we won 4-3. Rollercoaster.

This one. Amazing day.

Special mentions to the 5-0 home win win vs Derby in 05/06. Also to the 4-2 away win at West Ham in 10/11 and the 6-0 home rout on New Years Day 2007 against the same opposition.

For me it's the Simod Final at the proper Wembley. My first ever game, age 10, pinned to the fence at the front going bananas :)

No Fixed Abode At the Mad Stad - probably when us or United visited. Out sang you the whole game, in fact we didn't stop. Pretty sure you may have mustered up a couple of songs.

Yeah, Chelsea were soooooo 'loud' when we made it 2-2 at the end...
