Ian Royal We should try to sign Fed up now. If he keeps going like he is we will have a top chump keeper or pocket a mil or two.

If he's out of contract he's an obvious punt for a lower PL reserve keeper.

Impressing again this season and we'll be asking him to take a pay-cut. He's in a great position, and will almost certainly leave for pastures new.

Yep, no chance of Feds staying unfortunately.

QPR have a reserve keeper we could bring in to replace him

Alex Pearce, our only consistently good centre back, get him signed up!

Not going to find a better back-up RB than Kelly.

With a heavy heart, I'd probably look to release Karacan unless he forces his way into a starting spot before the end of the season.

I agree, but we should at least try.

+1 to the let Jem go with a heavy heart.

I'd keep Kelly, not Gunter personally, although if we could find someone decent who'd be cheaper than either I'd be happy with that too.

Jez Anyone have a up to date list of players out of contract in the summer?

I know on the "other" forum, clyde has a fairly up to date list of players contracts, this is who is marked as out of contract in the summer:

Andersen, Mikkel
Edwards, Ryan
Federici, Adam
Gunter, Chris
Guthrie, Danny
Henly, Jon
Karacan, Jem
Kelly, Stephen
Pearce, Alex
Samuel, Dominic
Sweeney, Pierce

Don't ask me why he put it as surname, firstname though!

Of that list I'd definitely suggest the renewal of Feds, Pearce and Gunter, I'd also say Karacan should be given a one year contract just to see how much long-term damage his latest injury has done to him.

Anderson release
Edwards keep then let out on loan
Federici Renew
Gunter renew
Guthrie goodbye and good riddance
Henly renew
Karacan keep but bonus relate his contract lower weekly wage and put good bonus in for appearances
Kelly renew short term contract
Pearce renew if we can
Samuel renew keep out on loan if needed
Sweeney keep and give a good loan deal

Pearce - offer slightly reduced wages, 2 year deal
Federici - offer slightly reduced wages, 2 year deal
Kelly - offer reduced wages, 2 year deal
Karacan - offer very reduced wages with a significant appearance fee, 1 year deal - auto extension to bring it to 3 years at an improved basic rate and lower appearance fee if he makes 10 appearances in the first 20 games, or 20 games in the season.

Andersen - depends on Federici
Gunter - depends on Kelly, maybe offer reduced wages, 2 year deal
Samuel - depends how he does at Coventry - maybe a 1 year deal
Sweeney - not sure - probably release, maybe extend and loan
Henly - not sure - probably release

Edwards - release
Guthrie - release

Mackie - don't sign unless Blackman goes, even then maybe not.
Yakubu - don't sign unless he gets >5 goals and looks properly fit

What's the deal with Ferdinand?

Well, you are certainly tight on the pennies Mr IR. But I like to see that in a Public Sector person, might well be good for this football club too. Personally I would be guided by individual performances in the final part of this season and how well they respond to the new manager.

I'm conscious that Fed will have been one of our best payed players going into the PL, Gunter signed for it, Kelly signed in it. All likely to have fair old wages. Wage budget is likely to be tight for some time. That's what my starting point would be at least.

Mackie hasn't really done enough for me, but I would keep Edwards. I thought he played well at the beginning of the season and is still only 21.

His pre-season reminded me of Obita's 2 years ago. He certainly had some tools, if he's cheap i'd keep hold as a cost effective back-up to McCleary. A league 1 team with good scouts could pull off a clever move here though.

He had a good pre-season, but, aside from that pass for Tanner's goal, I thought he was out of his depth when we got to the real business. We have better players who are younger, and he won't be eligible for the U21s next season (except as an overage player). He's unlikely to ever be good enough - frankly, he's the only senior player I wouldn't think twice about releasing.

I wouldn't think twice about releasing or selling any of the first team and starting again with a more balanced and technically better skilled set of players.

Keown, Niall

Travner, Jure
Yakubu

If I've missed anyone, please say.
