Norfolk Royal Had some business in the Reading area yesterday and was in the hotel having supper when someone told me Reading were playing that night. Looked at my watch and it was too late to make the game.

What a fan!

At least I don't push black people out of tube trains.

Sounds like I had a lucky escape so it's not all bad news.

This reads like something from the Boring James Milner twitter account.

Big Foot All in all, really really dull night! I've seen better atmospheres at the Madejski for a Reading Schoolboys under-15s game than last night - not helped by Wigan's pitiful support, I'd estimate at 150 fans tops - but still, the Madejski Stadium is a shadow of what it was even 5 years ago. Think Reading Rock Festival and their trend to become the new V Festival over recent years - we are in the midst of the same transition at the Madejski and it's little wonder home performances are so tepid.

This.

Home games are such a non-entity now.

Federici back to his usual tricks I see. What the oxf*rd was he doing for the corner?!

Excellent report. Those sort of accounts are invaluable for those who can't make it to a game.

There was the odd tautology in there but that would be splitting hairs.

In which way?

Tautology may refer to:
Tautology (rhetoric), a self-reinforcing pretense of significant truth, or
Tautology (grammar), the use of redundant words, or
Tautology (logic), a universal truth in formal logic, or
Tautology (rule of inference), a rule of replacement for logical expressions.

We were only one point clear of Charlton, it`s better that a big gap between us and Wigan is maintained, so in theory we are only fighting against one relegation place.

That it's come to this is pretty shocking.

Also Wigan are incredibly bad at home. Their last home win was in August and I haven't checked but was that against us?
