Chelsea have been paying him that since his 17th birthday, as agreed in a pre-contract agreement he signed when he was 15.
I would be very surprised if we're paying all his wages.

Y21 I very much doubt we are paying him that much.
However, it wouldn't surprise if one of the conditions of his loan is that he plays every week when he is fit. Would explain why he got put in as a make shift centre half when our own actual centre half Cooper was sat on the bench.

Not really. As we could have easily kept him in CM, where he's been effective, and bombed off Norwood for Cooper.
