leww_rfc Ah, after tonight it's quite dry all week. Do we want their Crawley game called off tonight to save the pitch? Would they then benefit from the extra rest though?

Want it called off so Liddle does not play.

This pitch is not a problem as we never go through the middle and never get into the area.

SC's brilliant idea to hose down the pitch. The man is a genius

Lower West
Mid Sussex Royal Just checked out their league form and they are about the same as us - was surprised to see they have only won twice this year....

Saw them play at Swindon last Tuesday. Not very good. Little threat up front. Will be a physical niggly game I suspect. They'll get in the faces of the Reading team.

Only just noticed this - agreed we were poor at Swindon. We were however missing 3 of our key players in Hanson, Davies and Morais. Hanson is back now, Davies played at Peterborough (was rested last night to my knowledge) and we're hopeful of Morais returning on Saturday, whilst Liddle will also return from suspension for the game.

Parkinson rotated the squad last night v Crawley (a rarity for us - we don't exactly have a huge amount of quality beyond the first XI) and gave a number of players a rest - basically a calculated risk bearing Saturday's game in mind. If Morais makes it, we'll basically be at full strength (though it's highly likely Williams will play as our 'cup keeper' rather than Pickford) - remains to be seen though if that will be enough!

Pitch watch - it did have some standing water on it on Monday but we're having relatively dry/mild weather up here so it dried out no problem for last night's game. Gets chewed up/bobbly pretty quickly, which will no doubt happen on Saturday.

We really really ought to win this. But Bradford are going to be well up for it, even if we go in front they aren't going to give in and will give us a hard time. We're just not very good and don't have a clue how to finish an attack. So I can't see passed 2-1 or 3-1 Bradford.

HRK mebbes?

Agree

we were awful in the FA Cup at Huddersfield and couldn't score

even worse at Cardiff and couldn't score

and utter crap at Derby, failing to score

1-0
2-1
2-1

Had a dream last night that we were 0-1 up and Bradford were down to 9 men due to fighting or something, and we missed an open goal after taking the lead. Don't think I got as far as the final whistle though...
