Ironically, I agree with you (in part), but a charlatan?

Small time manager from a small town in a small country more like, doing pretty well, but will never match the expectation levels of his overseas imported peers

Charlatan for the simple reason he hasn't (until Liverpool) stuck around anywhere long enough to prove he can sustain his overhyped impact. I think he is out of his depth where he is currently. I also cannot see his stay being much longer than the end of next season if he fails to win a trophy beyween now and then. Keeping his job after 4 seasons without a trophy would be pretty impressive. However, equally he could win the FA Cup this season and kick on. Then I'll be eating my words.

Kitsondinho Liverpool have had many fine managers....imagine what Rafa would achieve with the current squad....

Interesting point considering he had a much more accomplished squad for a number of years and didn't do as well (in the league) as Rodgers has done so far.

Rodgers will need to start winning at some point but he certainly seems to have got something for him to be getting such good performances out of a relatively very young team. He's certainly not a charlatan, but has got a fair amount to prove though.

sure he finished second (above Utd) one year

EDIT: Houlier finished above Utd, Rafa finished 2nd to Utd 08/09

Kitsondinho BR is all PR bulls*** and no actual results. He has won nothing except a play-off final against Reading (and the mighty Walsall can boast that great achievement). You won't win the FA Cup, because BR has proven how brilliant he is at choking in Cup competitions. I can't see you making the top four, but I could be wrong. However, for a team that finished 2nd last year, anything lower than that is a step backwards. Liverpool have had many fine managers....imagine what Rafa would achieve with the current squad....but BR is not one and never will be.

Edited - He has really just said I asked the players to ensure we were in the hat for the S/Finals??!!
Even Arsene can see that is a bulls*** excuse.

Dear me, bitter much?

BR is doing a decent job tbf (at the moment). However, it will be a disastrous season if they fail to get in the top 4.

I don't think they came within one slip of winning the league though.

That was with a squad containing an excellent Torres before his lose of form, Alonso, Mascherano plus Gerrard and Carragher in their prime.

Liverpool didn't come within one slip though did they? We won 2-0 at Anfield remember? Even if you allude to the fact that they may not have lost due to the 'slip' they still couldn't score past a weakened Chelsea team.

And also, let's not forget Crystanbul.

Seriously, I wouldn't want Super Mario in our team. The guy would be liability if Ascot United signed him. Why does Bodgers think he's good enough for them and what does he see that adds to their team spirit?

Well, well, well. What comes around goes around.

Gerrard, 3 game ban for a stamp.
Skrtel will get a 3 game ban for a stamp.

Are players that thick that even if it wasn't captured by the referee at that time, it will be reviewed after the game.
