Brighton (H) Prediction Thread

by The Real Sandhurst Royal » 09 Mar 2015 07:30

Back to league action it is.

About time we won a game a home so a 2-1 win for the Royals.

W3 D3 L2 their last 8 away, and looks like they play very tight,
with 5 clean sheets in those 8 games and just 3 goals conceded

1-1 Wolves
2-0 Fulham
2-0 Brentford
1-0 Charlton

0-1 Blackpool
0-0 Cardiff
0-0 Wednesday
0-1 Bolton

I dearly need to see a home win, but a draw would suit both clubs.

We can't score at home and they don't concede many.

A goal-fest, then!

Might be worth resting Chalobah given he took one in the face and couldn't see properly. Maybe the same goes for Pearce, don't want him to take another knock to the nose and be out for the replay.

1-1
Hector for us.

It's a Tuesday night against opposition in the bottom half of the table at home. The lads will be physically and mentally shattered, and getting the adrenalin flowing for a bog standard League game could prove difficult. Everything seems to point to disappointment for the Biscuitmen and their legions of fans.

BUT - lots of first teamers rested. Fringe players trying to prove they are in contention for the replay?

1 - 0 to us.

Can see us nicking this 1-0.

HRK to score early and then we'll keep it tight

A very tired 1-1 at best, while we may have a couple out/rested, hopefully less than 6 changes for us!

Law of averages suggests that we will win a football match at home at some point and that same law gives us hope that someone other than Mackie will score.

Unfortunately we are yet to reach that point:
Reading 1 (Mackie) Brighton 1.

For the love of all that is holy, please God let us have the gumption at least to eek out a draw minimum to put a bit more distance between us and the bottom 3. A draw keeps Brighton below us and actually moves us up two places.

Just seen that Brighton haven't themselves scored in their last 4 away games

I predict brighton will be singing this...

"Ten men on the pitch
On the pitch at Reading
Ten men
Nine men
Eight men
Seven men
Six men
Five men
Four men
Three men
Two men
One man and his play-off dream
On the pitch at Reading!"

1-1.

What really amazes me is that we have almost sold out for next Mondays match against Bradford and yet there are still plenty of tickets left for tonight's fixture against one of the BIGGEST clubs  in the country. Thought this would have sold out months ago .

I'm yet to see us score at home this calendar year in the games I've seen (Boro, Leeds and Wigan). I'm due a goal!

2-1 Royals
Pog'n'Yak
