Hilarious

He almost looked a good player today as well

If Man U are lucky it will be a long ban for that. If spitting is six games...

He had a brilliant game.

Best referee by far now and at such a young age. Brilliant career ahead of him.

Balls the size of watermelons to send off Di Maria (correctly) for a dive followed by a shove, then book Januzaj (correctly) in front of the Utd fans for diving as well.

Fantastic referring display. Played the Fellaini fouls spot on. Played the Bellerin foul spot on. Played the Roco foul and advantage spot on. No nonsense with the Ramsey foul either. Some of those big calls and really tough decisions.

Earlier in the season Joe Hart pushed his head onto Michael Olivers whilst having a rant at him. Joe Hart didn't get booked at all. Poor consistency from Oliver if you're looking at the bigger picture.

Great refereeing.

Bigger picture is that It appears he has learned from the incident and such things are no longer tolerated.

PS I saw that on twitter too.

Utd fans applauding someone off after diving and grabbing at the ref?

Standards have lowered there quickly

I know you're lashing out kes but don't worry, your two other teams are still (probably not for much longer in Reading's case) in the cup.

Maybe since then he has been advised to book a player if they touch him. We all learn new aspects in our jobs all the time.

Oliver was brilliant yesterday, very much enjoyed his booking Januzaj in front of a howling Stretford End too.

And the 'oh no, you didn't?!' look on Oliver's face when Di Maria grabs him.

I haven't seen a replay of the Bellerin foul but at the time thought it was a yellow. Didn't realise he'd already been booked.

The booking would have been for denying Young the opportunity to get into a dangerous area. The fact that he was subbed soon after leads me to think Arsene thought he may have been lucky as well.

Like i said haven't seen the replay so may be wrong.

Very watchable game, once Di Maria had been sent off that was Utd done for.

He's been getting patchy reviews since his move but I thought he looked like the most likely source of goals for Man Utd last night - the inch perfect delivery for Rooney's equaliser was class.

Hi Sandman.

I'm merely pointing out the Joe Hart incident happened THIS season. You can't change directives half way through a season as it isn't fair or consistent.

I think he was lucky to an extent, it could easily have been a yellow, but that it wasn't quite enough for a second yellow and a sending off and giving him the benefit and keeping him on the pitch was the right refereeing call. He wasn't going to be able to put a foot wrong from then on without seeing red though, so it was a good call from Wenger.

Battered Spurs in the first half. Actually looked like a decent team for once
