Good thing I recorded the game. The clip on that is obviously clipped just after the incident. I looked back on my Sky+ box and can see a guy in a black top with a cap gesticulating and shouting - he was behind a guy in a red jacket on the steps. At first, I thought he shouted "w**ker", but rewound to watch it again and yep, it's the N word. Naughty. Not surprised that McCleary wasn't happy.

It is unfortunate because I have been very impressed by the Bradford City supporters. Their passion, and their class. But there are always at least a couple bad apples. Hope the culprit gets charged...

Just got back to Chesterfield. That was worth the mental drive down/home!! Amazing scenes! Now to try and somehow get a ticket for Wembley!

Pepe the Horseman The only thing that could've made the siren better would've been strobe lighting.

And loads of dry ice billowing across the pitch

Just got home, lovely stuff.

Quite happy with the club's attempts at drumming up some atmosphere. The last couple of games i've been to have been the best for atmosphere. I don't doubt it would have been like it regardless tonight, but for the first time ever i could hear constant, loud pre-match crowd noise coming from the stadium where the buses drop off.

Chalobah was masterful. Big future for him.

HRK started brilliantly and dropped off a bit, McCleary did the opposite.

No threat from Bradford, and it was party time from the red card onward. Most comfortable performance since we raped Bolton.

4 flips from the pitch invader whilst the tangos all looked at each other wondering who was going to give chase was great, children on pitch at the end was not.

What happened with the goal music after the second goal?

Loved Federici taking his time to remove the stuff thrown at him when they still thought they had a shot at the beginning of the second half. Cool as you like.

blueroyals
ruprecht Why did the broadmoor siren keep going off at various times? Is this part of the normal matchday experience?

No, they've obviously employed some marketing intern to go wild with the matchday entertainment. In the last two weeks we've had such great suggestions as an xfactor boyband, brass band in north stand, sweet caroline played every 5 minutes, music for 30 seconds after the game has kicked off and air raid sirens on the PA for no reason. And a 'sea of scarves'. Somebody is due their P45. Thanks but no thanks.

Two idiotic pitch invasions, one smoke bomb thrown into the away fans and McLeary racially abused. And you moan about the club trying to create an atmosphere at our usually deathly silent ground.

A fantastic start to the game put the tie to bed early.

Hansen second minute puts the arm straight across Pearce's nose. He know what he was doing, so did Pearce for the 90 minutes you can come out of his pocket now.

the broadmoor siren could be abolished so they were looking for a new owner.

I've heard that the marketing department are going to combine the 'siren' with 'sweet' and play 'Blockbuster' randomly, throughout games in future........

I thought that was a really good night and moaning about the atmosphere seems a bit miserable to me. Was weird to see the ground so full and although the guy in charge of the music must have been shitted ("Ski Sunday you say? Oh wait shit, that's not right, hang on a second") it was all quite amusing.

Easy win for Reading against a Bradford side who worked hard but looked flat and devoid of spark. Didn't threaten at all.

Chalobah played well. Didn't think it was a red at first viewing but looking again this morning that was definitely the right decision. Didn't have a hope of getting the ball and just did the man.

So, well played Reading, on this occasion you have not let us down again.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts. IN for Ski sunday as our goal music in future

That blueroyals is a miserable pcunt isn't he?

Lone pitch invader was wandering around near us for a few minutes before he went for it, I thought he was just getting super excited for the post match "spontaneous" pitch invasion but he just couldn't hold himself back. He was a massive tit but hats off to the BTB lads for playing circus music and to his credit he did far more with his moment of glory than the lone Bradford invader from the away game

Bradford have a style of football that appears to suit their pitch (Anyone that went to Bradford would have seen that)
They where a physical team intent of Hooooofing it up to their front two. Cannot dis their efforts though.

Our class, passion and more importantly fresh legs showed in the end.

Hopefully we will kick on and move up the league, because quite frankly watching Bradfordesque football in the 2nd div is not really something to look forward to.

Great night!

It's a real shame this thread isn't discussing THE FOOTBALL.

Bradford looked (on the day) like a mid-table League One side
and I thought (at the start) we played seriously well.

I usually sit lower down and had a seat in the Upper West right in the corner.
Expected an awful view but it was excellent, and I was able to appreciate the
movements far more.

Thought HRK was really up for it in that opening. Was going to take 16-1
for him to score with a header. Instead I bet on 3-0 (but with Pearce scoring
the third goal!)

He (HRK) seemed to be playing with more freedom, not merely "cutting in from
the wing" but charging through the middle like Williams.Thought it was the best
game he's had for a while, and three goals and an assist taking us to a million-
pound pay-out, I'd say he's earned his wages for the season.

BUT

After about twenty minutes I thought we started to coast a bit and some of the mistakes
crept back in. There was one awful pass to Obita under some pressure, who then tried to beat
his man, was dispossessed, and they were in on goal.

I have the impression (too late now, but) that if we got three quick wins,
the confidence would rocket and we would looka very good side.

The club/team/management has been a mess for a while now, but last
night, every player looked, at worst, a top-half Championship player, and
the team, despite the weak opposition, looked at least a top six outfit.

As Parky said, this is a very good squad and should be challenging.

I expect us to be at least top six next season

Linden Jones' Tash I sit in the North Stand and, for periods, that felt like the loudest in terms of the whole stadium it has been since... Wigan in that semi final. .. or was that just my memory of that penalty?.....

Yes there were gimmicks, but hey, it worked...

'greed. Stop complaining! It made a big and positive difference!!
