It's a real shame this thread isn't discussing THE FOOTBALL.
Bradford looked (on the day) like a mid-table League One side
and I thought (at the start) we played seriously well.
I usually sit lower down and had a seat in the Upper West right in the corner.
Expected an awful view but it was excellent, and I was able to appreciate the
movements far more.
Thought HRK was really up for it in that opening. Was going to take 16-1
for him to score with a header. Instead I bet on 3-0 (but with Pearce scoring
the third goal!)
He (HRK) seemed to be playing with more freedom, not merely "cutting in from
the wing" but charging through the middle like Williams.Thought it was the best
game he's had for a while, and three goals and an assist taking us to a million-
pound pay-out, I'd say he's earned his wages for the season.
BUT
After about twenty minutes I thought we started to coast a bit and some of the mistakes
crept back in. There was one awful pass to Obita under some pressure, who then tried to beat
his man, was dispossessed, and they were in on goal.
I have the impression (too late now, but) that if we got three quick wins,
the confidence would rocket and we would looka very good side.
The club/team/management has been a mess for a while now, but last
night, every player looked, at worst, a top-half Championship player, and
the team, despite the weak opposition, looked at least a top six outfit.
As Parky said, this is a very good squad and should be challenging.
I expect us to be at least top six next season
