Nameless See above. Someone with 2500 points would easily get a ticket even if STH get 2 each.
If STH get 1 each the process will be horrendous. I have 3 ST but 5 tickets needed. We have plenty of points but would probably have to wait until points sales , as a lot of STH would.
The simple maths says there are enough points to ensure STH can have 2 and probably those with 500 would still be guaranteed tickets.
I recall we have around 30,000 members but loads will be duplicates, zero points etc.

Similar applies to me and I guess a lot of other people. It means the early bands of points sales will be overloaded. I have over 3000, son has no ST and over 2000 pts

If they do 2 per STH I'm sorted, it does prioritise a member over a new STH with few points but conversely if it's one and I have to wait it's prioritising new STHs over me. There will always be winners and losers, but I'm pretty sure we'll still get a ticket however they do it.

Looks like Arsenal are doing it the way it should be done................fans who go away get priority.
This is NOT a home game, we should first be rewarding the fans who travel week in week out and not the STHs who don't even bother to turn up for some home games. If they give 2 per STH and I do not get a ticket I will never go to another game again.

From the Arsenal website......................
As previously stated in the FA Cup Final/FA Cup Semi-Final policy the following supporter groups will receive priority:
1) Current registered members for season 2014/2015 of the Away Scheme (Away Season Ticket Subscription).

2) Current Platinum and Gold registered members for season 2014/2015 who have attended three and above away fixtures over the last two consecutive seasons from August 26, 2012 - March 9, 2015.

Both the above categories will be guaranteed tickets as long as the tickets are purchased between 10am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 and 11am on Friday, March 20 2015.

A good idea would be to allow ST holders to buy 2 tickets each, but the 2nd has to be a Member. Therefore all the +1's will be proper fans who don't get the chance to go every week, rather than the day-trippers who can then fight it out during General Sale.

At least they can (presumably) use royalty points/season ticket status this time. if I remember correctly the Play-Off final was a free for all wasn't it? Although I think everyone got a ticket who wanted one.

The reality is that at 31,500 pretty much everyone who's been to a Reading game in the last year and wants to go should be able to get a ticket. I don't see why they couldn't just do

23 - 25 March - Season ticket holders + > 1000 Royalty points
26 - 29 March- > 100 Royalty points
30 March - 3 April - > Member who has been to a game.
4 April - General sale.

If you are a STH your points are irrelevant, you get your tickets.

So sales would go

1. Current STH. (24,000 tickets)
2. Non STH with say 2000 points (3000 tickets
3. Non STH with 1500 points (2000 tickets)
4. Non STH with 1000 points (1000 tickets

1000 tickets for staff/ sponsors/ my family and friends

Arsenal can be more strict as they have a 60,000 seater stadium. We have a lot of day trippers.

Crazy to think that 3 away games over 2 seasons is great loyalty at Arsenal.

I was assuming it would be around 40k allocation like last time (when we had 11k STHs IIRC) and I wouldn't have any difficulty getting a ticket, so 31500 (with around 12200 STHs as mentioned in here) now leaves me a bit concerned I won't get one.

As for discussion about points, last time points weren't considered. STHs got priority of course but then it was first come first serve. If it is being done externally, hopefully they won't use the same ticketing company as last time. That was an absolute nightmare which left me depressed, had lost all heart on the Saturday, and decided to give it one last go on the Sunday and in the end was one of the last people to get tickets online. They closed no more than 30 mins, if that, after buying them.

As for day, think i'd prefer Saturday.

You are talking about a tiny number of people. There can't be more than a handful of people who travel away every week yet don't go to home games. And if you don't go to home games but do go to away games you don't deserve priority of those who buy ST.
If you have a decent number of points you WILLget a ticket even if STH get 2.
Have people absolutely no basic sense or concept of numbers ?

I think, given the match is being hosted on London Royals territory, that paid-up members of London Royals should have priority over everyone else

Theres no point comparing our process to Arsenal, they presumably have more STH than allocation.

I think its totally right to prioritise STH over the many who scooped many points in the PL days and then didn't renew following our last relegation.

That said, like many above I am STH who needs more than 1 ticket for Non STH with a lot fewer points. Although it seems a bit unfair that my nephew is punished for not attending games prior to his birth, I can't really disagree with the system other than the 30k tickets allocated to non Arsenal or Reading fans.

I sat in club Wembley for Wigan Man City on a work ticket and there were hundreds of empty seats. And thats the final. There will be a empty ring of red in the middle for this and thats the problem. But 30k at corporate Wembley beats 20k at Villa park!

Pepe the Horseman How many season ticket holders do we have?

If the club count season tickets as admissions regardless of whether they attend, it can't be more than 13,000 given our lowest attendance.

13,000 plus lets say they all take 1 ticket each thats 26,000 tickets so there should be a good 8,000 left? give or take my shit math

You're assuming that every ST holder will want an extra ticket, but that won't be the case. We have 3 ST's but want just 1 extra ticket for my wife who goes to games when my daughter can't go (she's at Uni) so doesn't have a member card/ST of her own.

If its 1 per STH then it unlikely i'll be able to get a ticket unless i mug someone for one....

Every game i go to is a freebe and i have about 50pts on my member card
