I want to know how this happened and how Paultheroyal seemingly told the TO of his "dilemma" and they gave him an extra 2 tickets that they shouldn't have. :x

We have a dilemma too, as I've put on here and on classifieds - we bought the 4 we were able to with our STs online and are just hoping we can get another 2 from some kindly people. It's all wrong.

Maybe if you'd put it in Board Announcements the TO would have picked up on it.

TBM
Samrfc01 I have to wait till saturday

My mate only has 683 points and we'd rather sit together.

I reckon it will all be sold out by Friday night....good luck though

A mate of mine has over 300, one of his kids also has over 300, the other 285. He's phoning the ticket office everyday and they tell him everyone with 300 or more points will get a ticket.... obviously not if they don't buy them before they go on sale to those with less points. They said the kid with 285 has no chance.... and to make it worse, the online system says he only has 235 but the ticket office have confirmed twice he has 285.

He was going to use a friends season ticket for the other kid as his mate couldn't go, but can't because his mates daughter went into his house when he was at work, swiped his Season ticket and then bought herself a semi final ticket and the worse thing is, he thinks she's going to sell it at a profit.

I don't get this.
You get 5 points for away and 10 points for a home match - total for a champ season = 345 points (without any cup purchases)
To get 1000 points you would need to go to every single game for 3 years solid.
Now if you were in upper west at £35 a pop, the season at home would cost approx. £805, when you could buy the ST for about £350.
Why would you do this?
Just asking.

No wonder the phone lines are busy:

Hello Reading FC, How can I help?

I'd like to buy some semi-final tickets.

No problem. What are your details?

Right my details are....
my sons details are...
an my other son's details are...

I'm sorry but you can't get tickets until Sunday.

Not to worry I'll call back tomorrow.

Mr.Swainey I've got near 2,000 points but haven't had a season ticket in years.

Same, last ST was the first year in the PL.

TBM Yup

I know a few people who are single STH's and managed to get an extra ticket yesterday....i think if the club advertised the +1 then it would be abused but if you ask and explain your situation then they are pretty cool about it

In regard to this, I have just rang the ticket office and the sales adviser informed me that this is not the case. She informed me that the users claiming to have got additional tickets were not telling the truth. She informed me that it is impossible to sell additional tickets to non season tickets holders, as the system overrides the request without a season ticket?

I know that she is spinning me a line. Can anyone please advise what/how they managed to get additional tickets? Will anyone be able to provide prove, so I can ring the ticket adviser back up and call her bluff and help other season ticket holders get a additional ticket?

Thanks everyone!

Shambles

Why should anyone get a +1?
What is an acceptable dilemma?
Why are people getting tickets who arent even members/Reading fans?
Why are the points so wrong? For some clubs its only the last season that counts - seems far fairer

Grrrrr

How does that work then. I have had a season ticket non-stop for 15 years and only have 3073 points
