blueroyals I love the guy, but is it really any wonder why he's unemployed? Quit Bristol because, in his words, his heart wasn't in management anymore. Then took years out of the game. Then re-invented himself as DoF in the lower leagues. Not much success there. Ended up working for free. And now saying he's not 'actively pursuing' a managers job. I can't see many clubs taking a gamble.

‘If you know someone at a big club it’s all so sycophantic — “we will guarantee him a game, he will play”. We are prostituting ourselves to get a few scraps from the big boys.

That was the official but not the actual reason he left .
