No Fixed Abode Quite comical from Gerrard.

Last season in their 'big' game against us at Anfield he slipped. This season, their big game to try and get in the top 4 he got sent off. Good player but never had the mentality or quite the ability to be World Class.

I think other premier league players have an opinion that is respected far more than a Liverpool obsessed Chelsea fan like yourself Kes. Stevie G voted into the PFA team of the year a record 8 (eight) times. A good few more than a certain ex Chelski player who you constantly used to compare him too. Also think a certain Jose Mourinho rated him a lot more than yourself considering he tried so hard to sign him. Keep up with the obsession of all things LFC as it really is quite flattering. Catch you in a few months Kes xxx

That's a 'shop. Should have blue and white ribbons if Chelsea are holding the trophy.

No shit. It was taken last season when Mourinho held onto the ball and Slippy G tried to get it back off him.

I'm not noticing what point you are trying to make with your last comment?

If I was a Liverpool fan, I'd been absolutely livid at what Raheem Sterling has said; what a total bellend, and totally disrespectful to his employer! If Brendan Rodgers has any cojones, Sterling would be dropped for their game on Saturday (but of course, he won't be....)

However being Liverpool fans, as when Suarez threatened to go on strike unless he was allowed to go to Arsenal, they will forgive anyone, anything, as long as the player is seen to kiss the badge.....

Reading some recent match reports, and the LFC forum, there are already apparently some 'murmurs' around Anfield when Sterling is slightly off his game. This won't go down well.

Looks like he is set to go in the summer, if only because almost 100% of pundits asked say it would be the wrong decision for him.

I've not read what he's said, but he's looking out for number 1. Looks a high possibility Liverpool won't make the CL now. He's hedging his bets andholding off signing a new contract. He HAS to play in the CL. He's good enough and wants to progress his career. Liverpool are always hit and miss with qualifying for the CL. He'll want a move to the bigger clubs, Chelsea, United, Arsenal or City domestically. Or join one of the big European Clubs.

From what I have heard he says he wants to wait till the summer to discuss a contract so he can focus on his football.

I assume he wants to see if they finish top 4 and it also makes them sweat on what they are offering him the closer they edge towards 5th place.

FWIW I think he'd have been better off saying nothing.

The politics around football stinks. I very much doubt that he or his advisers leaked the contract negotiations, or the £100k a week proposed deal.

Someone is trying to railroad him into signing before their league position is clear. He's waiting to see what his options are. In any other walk of life no one would bat an eyelid but in football, for some weird reason, employees are supposed to be 'loyal' to their team. A one-way loyalty at that.

Leave the lad alone.
