72 bus Further to my rant about buying red upper only to receive row 2 behind the corner flag, I have just got off the phone to the (absolutely superbe )manager of the ticket office who has been good enough to acknowledge the clubs monumental fukkup and has moved me to row 21 red block122 on the halfway line
Apparently he has a special stash of good seats for moaning twats like me.

Lesson here kids:
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Yep. I've just got back from the ticket office. Chap behind the counter was very helpful. Acknowledge the fack up on-line and swapped the tickets in row 2 to row 27 in block 104. He had a big stash of tickets in 104 from rows 23 up to 27.

One of my ticket batches got sent to another address as well - it's unbelievable they could mess that up.

Paid for blue seats in the upper section and are so high up I expect that the row behind will be the cheaper tickets. Never mind . . .

You got a link to the FB rant - slow day here

There is a rant on the Reading fc page, but not sure who wrote it :?

THIS CLUB IS A SHAMBLES. ALL OF US WHO WERE TOLD THE BEST SEATS FOR WEMBLEY WOULD BE SOLD AT THE TICKET OFFICE HAVE BEEN SHAFTED. SEASON TICKET HOLDERS OF WHICH I WAS ONE QUEUED FROM THE EARLY HOURS AND WHEN THE DOORS WERE OPENED WERE TOLD THAT THE BLOCKS NEAR THE HALF WAY LINE WERE SOLD OUT ! SO THREE WEEKS LATER THEY ARE PUT ON SALE TO ANYBODY WITH OVER 50 POINTS. DISGUSTING AND WE DESERVE AN EXPLANATION!!

What a self-important, pompous gimp with no sense of proportion. I'm glad I don't have to deal with kunts like that on a daily basis anymore.

Absolutely delighted to see lrd's vitriolic bellendery has got him nowhere with the TO and I'm not sure whether I'd prefer it if 72 bus was lying about his experience on a wind-up, or genuine.

oxf*rd me Ian. Like anyone ever gave a toss what you had to say.

Some people are happy to hide behind a username and poke others with an imaginary stick. Im not a sheep. I stand up for what i believe and if i feel myself and/or others have been screwed over.

I am not the only one who feels let down by the way this ticket thing has been handled and have no problem saying so.

If any of you keyboard warriors are actually man enough to come out from behind those keyboards and into the real world then maybe just maybe you could accept that fact that people have opinions different to your own.
And for you to call me Pompous?
Really?, you of all people?

Ian, I have been up to the Ticket office this afternoon and now have my new ticket block 122 row 21 seat 293
Interestingly next to the price at the bottom (£63.00) it says "Team East Full Price".
This ticket came from the blocks that were reserved by the club and not available for sale on the opening days.
Who Team East are is anyone's guess, but it does look like the club held back a couple of blocks next to the centre circle for it's commercial contacts.

Well pleased to be not sitting in row 2 by the corner flag, the Ticket office manager could not have been more helpful, B122 R21 is perfect but on reflection I probably should have tried for an aisle seat but that would have been taking the piss a bit.

"Team East" is on all the tickets, it's the team (Reading) that have been allocated the East side of Wembley, I would expect the Arsenal tickets say "Team West" but I haven't seen one.

At least you put it all in CAPS so that they know to take your complaint seriously.

Nice.

You obviously already know, but as someone who worked in high level complaint handling for many years, I can happily confirm that this is the sort of response that has everyone in the office laughing, referring to the complainant as a prick, and doing the bare minimum to help them, whilst delighting in providing a negative response if it's appropriate.

And you can be safe in the knowledge that they aren't even capable of taking it to a high enough level that some knob of a director just gives in for an easy life. They're just too incoherent and lacking any substance.

The only people who are 'worse' at complaining are some sections of the mentally ill.

Still waiting for why dazzy, calling someone else a keyboard warrior is a bit ironic.

As I said earlier in this thread. Was given row 2 in block 104 despite on-line saying 'red upper'. Went to the ticket office and the helpful chap change them for row 27, no problems at all (he said someone had just phoned them with the same issue). If you had the same issue with 'red upper' they will definitely change them where there are seats available. The ticket chap had a big wodge of tickets in block 104, rows 23 to 27.

Wrt to this Huddersfield kid who has won a competition to be our mascot at Wembley - does anyone know who organised the competition and why no young supporters of other teams were given a chance to apply?

Do you know they weren't? Do you know there aren't going to be more mascots, some of them young Reading fans?

The FA organised the completions

One supporter from a whole load of teams has been chosen

He's not our mascot, he's one of the mascots that will be walking out with the players

Anyone who was at the Huddersfield game would have seen the draw being made and his name being announced

Whilst it's good that lots of kids get a chance to be at Wembley it may have meant more if they had been local to us. But I think the FA do this every year

Not so. The comp that the kid won was organised by Huddersfield Town and was for their young supporters attending the game against us as detailed here.
