Compo's Hat
Pepe the Horseman Was thinking of trying the torch, but one of the reviews says it's £9 for a pint. Da fcuk?

Might just stock up in the off licence and then drink them in The Torch beer garden. Doubt they charge £9 as no idiot would be prepared to pay that but wouldn't be surprised if all the bars put up their prices when Wembley has a big event.

Saw plenty of Bayern and Dortmund fans drinking on the streets before the Champions League final, not sure how the police can enforce it when 90,000 people are there. Think it might be enforced just outside the ground.

Do they actually have a garden? Just looks like a smoking area from what I can see. Difficult to tell how big it is.

Look at it on Google Street View and you'll see it has a large beer garden.

Pepe the Horseman Think we're settling for Crystal Club as nowhere seems to have a garden.

Its a roller disco or something - should be interesting after a few.

Barely looked probably at the selection of pubs.

But will go for the one that's easiest to get served and with the best atmosphere.

Think we are going to Baker Street first for food at pub

Yeh, it doesn't look/sound gr8. BUT IT'S GOT A GARDEN.

I'm so conflicted. Drink fosters all day and be sat outside in the glorious sunshine. Or get a half decent beer and be inside all day. Hopefully it pisses down with rain and makes the decision for me.

Compo's Hat
mr_number Most likely to be these if they stick with the normal split by end:

The Torch, 1 - 5 Bridge Road, Wembley, HA9 9AB
Crock of Gold, 23 Bridge Road, Wembley, HA9 9AB
Moore Spice, WembleyRetailPark, Unit 2, Engineers Way, HA9 0EH
Watkins Folly, 1 Empire Way, Wembley, HA9 0EW
Blue Check Café, 12 - 13 Empire Way, Wembley, HA9 0RQ
Alisan Bar/Metropolis, The Junction, WembleyRetailPark, Engineers Way, HA9 0EG
Crystal Club (Silverspoon), South Way, Wembley
The Parish, 120 Wembley Park Drive, Wembley, HA9 8HP
First Class Sports Bar, 125 Wembley Park Drive, HA9 8HG
The Wembley Tavern, 121 Wembley Park Drive, HA9 8HG
Flyers Last Stand (Cheers Bar), 45 Blackbird Hill, NW9 8RS

Looking at all the pubs on streetview the one that looks most like The Green Man is The Torch, none of the others even have a beer garden so can see them getting quite cramped.

Have been to Wembley at least once a season for the last five years (though but for Saturday it was looking unlikely this season) and have always been to either the Green Man or The Torch pre-match. I would say TGM has a bigger beer garden but The Torch is probably slightly bigger inside as it's got an additional room, (which I've not been in).

As I said on the tickets thread, personally think TGM can't be matched for club games (though may change my mind after Sat) so from an atmosphere POV tis a shame that it won't be the Reading pub for the day. But i'm fine with The Torch as got a record to keep up! (perhaps unlikely it is that it will remain intact after Sat).

Unless prices have gone up massively in the last year that person must have been drunk when they posted that!

Had a look at the forecast earlier and it's meant to be sunny all day. Hopefully that doesn't change as was planning to use the beer garden where there's more space.
