The Arsenal run rings around us for the first half and go in 3-0 up at half time.

Kevin Keen and unused sub Hope Akpan are sent off at half-time for an argument in the tunnel.

Team comes out blazing in second half and we get 2 goals back, a header from the Pog and an own goal. Wembley is rocking. Up pops Jem Karacan.........he hits the post......

Sorry...... deja vu.......

As long as it's not a cricket score win for Arsenal I'll go home happy.

4-0 Arsenal, who then take their foot off the pedal with their mind switching to their next game.

Relatively even game as Reading raise their performance levels well above the standard they've set sees the game reach half time 0-0.

Reading start brightly and come close to scoring when a fit again Pog hits the post with a header from our first decent set piece of the year. Arsenal click up a gear and with 25mins to go Hector brings down Giroud on the edge of the area picking up his second yellow in the process.

Arsenal score from the resulting free kick to add insult to injury before scoring twice more in the last 5 mins as 10 man Reading try and find an equalising goal.

Final score Arsenal 3-0 Reading, with muted praise of our performance in the press including questions of how are we 20th in the Championship

Kuhl_Runnings Since when have we had big teams put tons past us? Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool when they beat us recently only won by very few. In that case, my heart opts for 2-1 to Reading AET, but my head says 2-1 to Arseanal.

Since about almost every time we've played Arsenal.

Eh, true, but it does annoy me how one sided people expect this to be. As I said, Arseanal will likely play a half arsed team for the Cup and upcoming Chelsea game.

Their only real chance of silverware, they'll be up for this.

I don't think the result is in doubt but can you injure Cazorla, Sanchez and Giroud or perhaps get one or two of them sent off please.

I can only see a heavy defeat, i just hope that it's not double figures and we are not at the wrong end of a record wembley defeat.

It's sad but I would be happy with a 3-1 defeat, as I would just love to be able to cheer a goal......

I've bet on 5-1 and also over 5.5 goals, plus McCleary to score first and also Mackie to score first plus a £1 on Reading to win

Hull were pretty junk last year and went 2-0 up on Arsenal in the final
and should have finished it off.

Wigan were Championship last season (5th) and drew 1-1 with Arsenal in the semi after extra time, losing on penalties

True we are way lower, but we have very decent players and have, on occasions, looked decent.

Though the sensible bet is a comfortable Arsenal win, it's more than possible we could get a decent result.

An awful lot of certainties fall over, and runs of wins have a habit of finishing when least expected.

Recent performances have raised my confidence for this match, which I know is odd considering we haven't won for a bit but I have seen enough to give me hope that we'll make it difficult for Arsenal but will at some point probably lose the game, either through Arsenal's superior ability, lack of concentration (Bournemouth's goal typified this) or tired legs.

Shortly after the Bradford win, while excited for the match I was dreading a thrashing, I feel quite a bit more confident now we'll make a game of it.

I'm going for the result that will cause maximum misery on the day..

We come out the blocks all guns blazing, to absolutely no effect.. Arsenal gradually wrestle control of the game and score 2 in quick succession around the 25 minute mark. They then go on cruise control for the remainder of the first half.

We score from a dodgy free kick just after the restart, which I will inevitably miss as I'm still in the queue for an overpriced powershandy. There will be a ten minute period where we collectively believe we can get back in the game, shortly after which Arsenal will score another 2 goals to put us out of our misery. Add to that an injury time fifth scored in front of a half empty east end of Wembley.

TL:DR Reading 1 - 5 Arsenal

Unfortunately to injure them, we'll have to get close to them first. Can't see it happening I'm afraid.
