MmmMonsterMunch Can't actually express how gutted I am. For me personally, this is my most gut wrenching defeat of all time..

Really? I'm disappointed but it's hardly not going up or getting relegated.

I don't think I've ever been so sad after a defeat at a football match (I wasn't at *that* other Wembley match). Truly devastated. To lose to an error like that in a match we looked to take the distance is galling.

As a total aside, I was in 104, row 43 (£63 seats) and there were at least eight empty seats to my left for the entire match. Given how many gripes there were about availability of the "good" seats I was pretty annoyed by that.

Yep really. So close to making history today. Promotions & relegations come and go. This was a one-off.

On the scale of the game it was nothing really. Southampton & West Ham away were much bigger games IMHO

Agreed. But it's more of the teasing and tantalising on how close we came.

Prior to today I would have said Bolton. All opinions obviously but fcuking hell today was hard to take.

Nonsense.
A PO Final loss can be put to bed the very next season with a promotion.
We won't get that close to an FA Cup FInal again for decades, if at all.

Also, I thought Hector was outrageously good today. Absolutely unbelievable.

Makes it harder as we were so good. Player ratings..... 10/10 to all of them Reading fans 25/10.

I hope Feds gets an ovation & his name sung all game for the next home match. I can't begin to imagine how he is feeling right now.

Poor b@stard.

Respectfully disagree. We've been to 2 quarters and now a semi in the past handful of years. Maybe I am just nucking futs but I think we'll be back here again more sooner than later...

Just got back to Chesterfield. An awesome day, shame we lost but I'm not upset. I feared (like many on here) a whipping, so a performance like that was sensational. Tactics were spot on, players were mostly excellent (a few poor decisions from Pog/HRK aside). Feds was outstanding but football once again proved how cruel it can be....he didn't deserve that....but hopefully he'll win player of the season and bounce back soon. As for Arsenal, I cannot understand how Wenger cannot/will not accept that their defence is vunerable. When breaking, we looked just as likely to score as they did. Mind you, I think DW would have scared the ox**rd out of any defence the way he played today!!
