Unlucky. I was rooting for Reading and thought it was a fantastic advert for end to end football.

Absolutely fantastic performance.

Hector, Chalobah, Williams, Mackie - best games of their lives.

Shame that tiny bit of quality was missing on s couple of occasions.

And that the Linos were shite.

And that the ref, for no reason that I consider good, decided to play over the 15 mins in the 1st period of ET. Yeah, a touch of sour grapes but there is no good reason that a move in progress should be allowed to carry on when time is up.

Hi I'm an Arsenal fan, don't get cross with me for posting here, but just had to say, you were fantastic today, never stopped working, never stopped trying. I feel for your goalkeeper. You don't need me to say that you can hold your heads up high. Had I been a neutral I would have been willing you to win for your tireless performance.

Great game to watch, really well played Reading, they can hold their heads up high.

As for the linos they should be sacked!

Thanks Cassie, and I doubt anyone will be cross - it's good to read appreciation of the performance from supporters of the 2nd best team in the country. (Hopefully the BEST by the time the season is up)

RichTea94 Great effort, shame about going out in that manner.
On top for most of the second half. Hector was great. Williams was an absolute engine. Chalobah was a class act as the holding midfielder, would be great to get him next season.

Agreed. Hector was immense. Cool head the entire match. Gunter was solid too. In fact the back four was solid for most of the match with few things wrong.

Question for those of you that can spot formation better than me: were we really playing 442 or 4411? Commentators said 442 but it looked like Pog was playing back.

You mean the one played by Ozil to Alexis Sanchez who is an order of magnitude better than anyone on the RFC squad? Yeah, and I'll cut him a break for that given the first 38 min he hardly put a foot wrong.

I can never see the point in this sort of debate. Pog was often the furthest player forward, sometimes he wasn't. We had 2 central attackers and whether they played in a line or one slightly behind the other really makes no odds as far as I can see.
Pogo certainly wasn't playing in the position fashionably described as 'in the hole' though, he just tends to wander a bit.
