Sanguine I'd agree to an extent that the subs did little or nothing to aid our cause.
Might have been me imagining it but it seemed that when Jem came on for Hal, Mackie started sitting deeper, and our attacking threat diminished - in fact our great spell after half-time seemed to last right the way up to that substitution, after which we looked tired very quickly, even with Jem's fresh legs.
But I don't really blame Clarke. He didn't have many cards to play on the bench. I'd have had Cox on sooner, but Pog worked admirably and Clarke probably thought we needed his presence up there.
Feds mistake was just one of those things. We weren't perfect but we were pretty damn good. Most important part of the summer is hanging on to Michael 'Bobby Moore' Hector.

Live, I got the impression Mackie went out left from having been playing upfront, watching later on TV I think he dropped back and left a bit, but not quite into left back.
Once Mackie was no longer chasing everything from the front in the same way we disappeared until it was kitchen sink time. I don't think Clarke had great options off the bench, but I don't think he made good calls there either and did leave them late. But given he set us up perfectly against them to start with, I'm not going to hold it against him that I think he left us too tired in the middle and weakened our best outlet by moving Mackie.
I'd probably have brought Jem on for Chalobah as I thought he'd gone quiet and was looking the more leggy. I think I'd have probably left on Hal - because we didn't have an alternative - hence Jem for him, and pulled Pog for Cox or maybe Yak, because I thought he was also tiring more than the others.
Lets face it though, there's not much chance anything would have changed the eventual outcome.
