Pepe the Horseman What if we'd equalised and it had gone to pens, you idiots.

Let's just say I didn't fancy our chances on that one.

LUX

LUX stayed to applaud the team, of course (self righteous gif). Surprised how few did tbh.

Then walked to Brent Park Tescos and 332 bus to Kilburn tube. Took ages. Few other lost Royals doing the same.

Did you walk past me then? We did the same but ended up getting a cab from Brent Park McDonalds

Maybe, I saw quite a few Royals on that walk, on the right hand side, with no pavement. A couple of Bracknell lads followed me to Kilburn.

Edit: I remember a group of 5 or 6 telling me they were looking for a taxi.

We were a group of 4 - could have been us

bobby1413 I was  at the thread title thinking "can't mean Wembley surely?"

The idea of leaving before the final whistle never even entered my head.

I stayed until the end and watched players go off. Clapping them whilst doing so.

Just never occurred to me to leave. Partly as I thought we may still score and partly as I felt compelled and a duty to applaud them after

Pretty sums up how I felt/reacted. No way was I going to leave before applauding the team off. For once they fully deserved that, even if it meant taking longer to get home. Yes, it was bloody crowded and slow when we left, particularly as we had to walk to the far side of the stadium to head towards Wembley High Road. Cut up a side street, rejoined Wembley High Road just before Wembley Central and then walked to the far end of Wembley High Road and The Fusilier. Easy journey home from there.

Probably us (3) using phones to find a way round to the tube. Ended up crossing the footbridge by Tesco's and getting a bus to Queens Pk, arrived at Paddington at 10.00!

5 minutes in the ground could mean half an hour (or even more) queuing for a tube.

I'd actually throw that back at you tidus - is watching a couple of minutes of football that important?

Exactly Green. In this day and age we can always register our respect and thanks to the team with social media, and doing so whilst sat down in the pub. I guess applauding them from the upper sections of a vast stadium, then spending half an hour shepherded down Wembley Way by mounted police is a legitimate way to support Reading Football Club though.

RG30 Stayed until the end. I'm normally the first to be back on a bus into town after a home match but on this occasion they deserved all the applause.

Geekins I cried and left straight after the whistle.

I cried and stayed half an hour after the whistle. The cameras love that sort of thing.

I don't get leaving early for any game. Same for Wembley semi final as for Bristol Rovers at home when we got stuffed and any other game. I appreciate you've paid your money and it's your choice but I just don't understand. Might as well not bother going in the first place from my point of view.

I don't know what you lot are all fussing about queues for the tube.....

I left a few minutes after the final whistle, walked to Wembley Central, went through Queue E, boarded waiting empty train and was back in the Golden Eagle in Marylebone by c.8.20. 8)
