2-0 Brentford. Does that make us mathematically safe through negative goal difference differentiation? Or do Rotherham still need to score?

So currently last 9 honme league games of the season are :

Lost 0-2
Lost 0-1
Lost 0-3
Won 2-1
Drew 1-1
Drew 0-0
Lost 0-1
Lost 0-1
Lost 0-2

(yes P9 W1 D2 L6 F3 A12 Pts5)

SC record feels on a par with Bullivant and Burns. Mr Motivator clearly he ain't.

While I am definitely not anti-Clarke, out of curiosity, could your marvellous database tell us if either Bullivant or Burns (or any 'modern era' manager) has had a worse run of home games?

Don't need a database for that as its very recent...at the end of the Coppell reign and start of Rodgers we didn't win from Jan - Nov at home although we did draw a few.

It has to be said, you're not doing very well, Mr Clarke.

Not sure if you're the real McCoy or another imposter.

I'll give you until October to decide.

Hard to believe we won this league 3 years ago. A mighty spectacular fall from grace.

Clarke has the worst record of ANY manager we have ever had in their first 13 home league games.

Am now trying to find a worse sequence of the last 9 home league matches anywhere in our history. May take some digging ....

Although that charlatan Bodgers never managed 13 home league matches, (thank oxf*rd), his record of 1 win and 5 draws in his 11 home league matches betters Clarke's "efforts". Totally underwhelmed by him,..

I HAVE found a worse sequence of home matches than Clarke's 5 points in 9 games, although it straddles 2 seasons..

Bewteen 07/02/09 and 07/11/09 we played 16 home league games, drawing 7 and losing 9. This contained our worst ever 9 game home league run where we amassed a grand total of 3 points in the 9 games 21/02/09 to 22/08/09, drawing 3 losing 6, scored 4 conceded 12.

If we ignore a sequence split over 2 seasons, then Clarke equa;s the reocrd of 5 points in 9 home games. From 16/09/87 to 26/12/87, Ian Branfoot's record was P9 W1 D2 L6 F7 A13. As he has the better goal difference, I put it to you that Clarke has the worst ever 9 game home record in a single season.

Thank oxf*rd this season is effectively over.

Of course nothing to do with the fact the club have no strikers of any real note plus the fact that owing to the total ineptitude at other clubs has been realistically been safe from relegation since February and, no doubt, the players have been cruising on the fact there is nothing to really play for in the league.

Additionally SC has been experimenting to some degree with formations and personnel to find out as much as possible about the players technical and mental attributes.

On top of that SC has said the squad is not good enough and that there will need to be considerable changes in the summer.

Better a dreadful home run when it really doesn't matter than running into when when it does matter such as last year or Coppell's last 6 months in charge.

That's based on the rather hopeful assumption it won't continue.

And maybe Clarke shouldn't have signed two shit strikers he's not interested in starting when we lost the only good one we had. He is manager. He has had a transfer window. It's there to fill obvious holes in your squad.

Perhaps the Yak was the only affordable option that he could get at the time, who knows. Now the summer's almost on us next season we can honestly say it's all going to be down to SC and whatever financial backing the club can/decides to give.

So until then there's not much to do other than to give him the benefit of any doubt...
