by MmmMonsterMunch » 26 Apr 2015 21:58

Not for one second am I saying get rid of Clarke but am interested to hear who people think would be a good and realistic appointment?

This should be interesting....

McD and/or Coppell. Failing that, Pep Guardiola.

Warburton has only done 75 games as a manager & probably doesn't have many good connections transfer wise.

I am genuinely struggling to think of anyone.

Who is that bloke at Exeter who I see on the Football League Show who wears his scarf like a cravat?

Lacoste Lambert

All that noise about wanting Clarke out and you would replace him with LOLambert. I suppose that's one way to solve our goalscoring problem, the goals were flying in for Villa when he was in charge there.

When it becomes necessary to appoint someone else, Dolan, hopefully.

You clueless idiot, Sandman.

Lambert took Norwich up two divisions in back to back seasons and made them safe in the prem. He did all of this through buying lower division players for not much money and building them into a team. His Colchester side beat Norwich 7-0 away from home just before he was poached.

Sure, he didn't work out at Villa but it rarely does for anyone there. At least he has proved he can do it at this level and keep promoted teams up.

Lambert wouldn't be a bad shout, it would be very hard for a team to score less goals than Clarke has got us scoring. Although his inability to do up a top button would rather annoy me.

SCIAG Nigel Adkins.

Been there, done that.

Not sure Dolan would be the right candidate for now. Think we need a safe pair of hands who has some transfer market experience. I'd love to see him in the hotseat one day though.

Half taking the piss out of LOLacoste and half serious. In other circumstances Lambert would be a good choice but the problem is that the issues we have are not the sort of issues he is capable of correcting.

Not sure about that, his Norwich sides were known for their ultra-attacking style. His side which won promotion from the Championship scored 83 goals and had only the 9th best defence in the league. Similar story in the Premier League, 7th best attack and 5th worst defence.
