Platypuss U21's picked up a great 1-0 win away to second placed Derby. Now 1 point behind them with a game in hand.

And top 2 get promoted

U21's playing at Madejski tonight vs Stoke. Going for automatic promotion to the big league.

FREE entry and parking. Kick Off 7pm. Might even see a Reading team score in the Mad Stad.

Doubts about Kelly's fitness. Stacey and Cooper will almost certainly be saved for the first team and there's a chance Novakovich will be too.

Likely team: Lincoln; Long, Keown, Sweeney, Griffin; Kuhl, Sammi/Shaughnessy; Owusu, Novakovich/Husin, Fosu; Cardwell
Subs: Ward, Hyam, Rinamhota, Sammi/Shaughnessy/Husin, Sheppard

Hoping to see Sheppard off the bench, think he'll be an important member of the side next season.

3-0 another assist for kuhl as he calmly heads the ball into the path of an on rushing griffin who scores 1 on 1 with the keeper

Mentioning Clarke being there won't do you any favours. He only cares about Chelsea's kids after all.

I'm in shock, I've just seen a Reading team score three goals at the Mad Stad!

Shouldn't complain seeing as we won, but what a dull 3-0 win!

We were totally dominant but too often we'd make a silly mistake in the final third. Liam Kelly in particular was trying a lot of fancy flicks which his team mates weren't reading.

Sean Long came into it a bit more after his (accidental) goal, Shane Griffin made good use of his pace late on, and Nana Owusu looked like a proper winger. Some really good footwork from Fosu but he wasn't too heavily involved. Novakovich also didn't get in the game very much, missed a few balls across goal - I'd like to see Cardwell start the next match for his extra pace. Defensively we were completely untroubled, and that was probably the best match I've seen from Sammi.

I have to confess I've seen none of the U21's this season. Who would you say has a shot at getting into the senior squad imminently? Perhaps your top 5?
