Lacoste Clarke showing the pressure in his post match interview. He lost it

He sounds desperate, had a little pop at Dellor too.

Dead man walking.

He sounded completely and utterly fcuked off. As are all of us.

Or would you rather we "Took the positives"

He's put himself under pressure to succeed next season and if he doesn't then he will deserve to be sacked just like Adkins deserved to be sacked. But despite LOLacoste's agenda he shouldn't be sacked this season when a lot of the problems in the club are not of his making.

Dellor mentioned relegation next year. Clarke said that we'd be nowhere near relegation next year. Dellor pointed out that our form is relegation form. Clarke had a go at the press.

Along those lines.

Dellor does know we start again on 0 at the start of next season doesn't he?

To paraphrase: the players are low on confidence (particularly the forwards), there are issues that need addressing in the summer & things have to change. He also said he's not having any time off or going on holiday with the wife as he's going to be busting his ass sorting the squad out. Fair do's. He sounded p1ssed off but hardly surprising.

I think he's more worried about how slowly we're going to move off it.

He did say though that the Thais have promised him 100% support in the summer and that there would be huge changes.

Derby stuff us by more than 4 and I think they'll deal with him personally.

Face-palmingly stupid reaction from the HNA masses, although I shouldn't be surprised.

You wouldn't say I was behind him in the least and I joined in the chants. The crowd reaches a tipping point and then turns very quickly. Pretty obvious the tipping point isn't going to be far into next season unless results dramatically improve. They certainly can't get much worse.

Yeh and Zingarevich promised the same to Adkins!

Also, Madejski already appears to have programmed the Thais with the Madejski Way/losing formula. He will not get the backing he needs but then I'm not sure I would trust him with that sort of money anyway.

Yes, we can clearly hear the relatively few who still go singing his praises. NOT!

The pratt told Dellor it was 'a nothing game'. Slip of the tongue or not, if the players got the same message, no wonder we are in the shyte.

It wasn't a slip of the tongue though was it? It's a fact. One that seems to be lost on here.

Well I suppose that it was inevitable that Clarke is now being slated like Adkins was, the common factor being Reading Fc, we were well and truly turned over by the Russian and as such have been fighting against a huge financial hole that he started and left us with.

There is a huge motivation issue here for me, we do the double over Ipswich and Norwich, take 4 points from Wolves and Middlesboro so we can't be that bad ?? we have been left without a double figure goalscorer, Murray would have had a field day here but he chose to chase his Premiership dream, and in all honesty, why not ?.

As for next season I am not sure that there will be wholesale changes, the obvious leavers wil be Yakubu, Travener, Guthrie, Knight and hopefully Ferdinand, I would hope there would be some severe looking at themselves for whoever came up with the idea of the Yak, Trav, Knight and Ferdinand could do a job here, the four are
just a complete waste of money. For the rest McLearey has done very little, I am not convinced that Cox, Karacan and Kelly are Clarkes first choice, and maybe Williams will be sacrificed due to his wages, I hope not that lad has some fire in his belly, also a proper left back might see the end of Obita he doesn't seem to have progressed much this season and doesn't look a confident wingman either.

i can see the likes of Pearce and Feds being re-contracted

TBF to Clarke, when he said it was a nothing game, he meant there was nothing in it when they scored.

Watching the replays of the two Rotherham goals, it's quite tough to find a single Reading defender who does the basics, makes to right decision, anticipates the opposition.....anything. Anderson's "attempted" saves look truly amateurish. Kelly replaced Gunter in every sense by failing to stop a cross when it looked harder to get out of the way. Hector and Cooper were statues. I'm sure the rest of the team were no better but you only need the 20 seconds of highlights on Sky Sports News - told a familiar story. If Clarke is to build his team on a strong defensive unit it, last night does suggest he hasn't made much progress yet.

Nice strike by Norwood, but I'm not in the mood for taking positives.

I've only seen the highlights on SSN this morning as well, but this ^^^ is pretty much bang on what I thought whilst watching the goals. Two crosses from our right back position, centre backs all over the place and relatively simple sliding tap ins for the goals. Andersen's not covered himself in glory for the first one but didn't have much chance with the second tbf. Nice strike from Norwood though.
