Went for Dellor, Rodgers style, on Tuesday when Dellor rightly suggested that, given how things currently are, we might be fighting relegation next season.

no he didn't.
just argued his point and questioned why hes mentioning relegation next year at all, let alone when this year still hasn't even finished.
fair comment imo

Absolute b*llocks. Such selective hearing (not for the first time that night i.e. Gooding's categoric statement that Madejski did interfere in the transfer dealings and pushed for Caskey's signing because he wanted to do a deal with Sugar) just makes you look dumb, a liar or both. He was clearly very irritated by the question and responded in a way that was bordering on the aggresive. Perhaps you should dig out the audio and listen to it again if you think otherwise.

I'm no great fan of Dellor but he was perfectly right to question Clarke's ability to turn things around next season. You appoint a new manager in the expectation that he can at least start to improve things in a reasonable time. Clarke has failed to do that and has produced an absolutely dire sequence of results since his appointment. Has any other newly appointed manager produced such a long run of poor league results and survived in his job?

Lacoste
Snowball It amuses me the way people here "condemn" the manager for not getting in a top striker
in January. First, HE DOESN'T DO THE BUYING!

He will tell the board he needs a striker (I think Pog was on high appearance money
and they were trying not to play him)... and we had at least the possibility of Murray.

If Murray had stayed for another 20+ league games and 5 cup games?

He got 8 in 18 for us, so it's not unreasonable to think he might have got 9-10-11-12 more goals.
We might have beaten Arsenal! We would have got a LOT more points

3-3-0-3-0-1-0-3-1-3-0-1-2-0-1-0-2-2 ---------25 goals in 18 Murray leaves
0-1-0-2-1-0-0-1-0-0-1-2-1-2-1-1-0-0-0-0-1 14 goals in 21

Does ANYONE think Clarke didn't want Murray back? Of course he did.

Look how Murray has played for Palace since.

Oh shut the fuc k up with the stats you dull bastard. No one cares.

Tool.

Have you followed football for long? Let me help you out. The whole premise of the league is based on stats. The more points a team accumulates in a season, the higher up the league said team finishes. A side scoring more goals than it concedes, on a regular basis, generally results in more points accumulated. Goalscorers score goals, which helps a side accumulate points as noted above.

Is that so hard for you to understand?

It was interesting that following one preposterous rumour on this board about Clarke leaving they were talking about it on Sky yesterday. Ludicrous.

Of course the assertion that SC would leave after Saturday's game is now found to be true as that game has finished. What we don't know is exactly how long after Saturday's game he will leave! It could be several years!

If he dies in the job, does that count as leaving?

lol. nicely rattled response.

I heard the same interview as you. if mine is selective hearing, so is yours.

and dellor can ask exactly what he likes. Clarke has the right to answer exactly as he sees fit.
this was nothing like the adkins nonsense, and Clarke in no way "went for him"
but you keep on getting all steamed up if you like
