janesdaddy It makes a difference though, if you're part of a team where five or six top scorers get 10-15 apiece, or if you are one of only two strikers who would be expected to pop in 20+ goals each. If you're a lone striker and your only job is to tuck it into the back of the net, I'd say you've failed when you consistently can't hit a barn door from six yards out (I'm looking at you, Glenn Murray). Sure, he was lucky a few times, as was the Pog. But, in terms of expectations, the Russian has been disappointing. He should have scored more.
It would be interesting to see if - taking into account fees and wages - Pavel's goals have been the most expensive in Reading history.
