Ian Royal
paultheroyal Andersen contract not being renewed.

Yet. The implication being we'll consider offering him one if Fed leaves and he's still not signed with anyone else.

He wont be kept on either way.

Delboy Will any of the current squad under contract be put up for sale. Hal , Akpan, Cox,!

You'd expect so. If our black hole pre-Zingarevich required the sale of a player around £4-5m each summer, we must need double that now, at least. Unless the Thai's foot that bill, I wouldn't be surprised to see one or two flogged for decent money (Hector and McCleary possibly the most attractive and highest value assets we have currently).

I highly doubt our losses have doubled. Yes, we have to pay Pogrebnyak's wages, but we only have two senior strikers instead of three, and we have both parachute payments and extra TV money.

Not sure Hector is particularly sellable, he didn't have a great season and he's out of contract next summer. Imagine anyone interested will see how he does next year and nab him for a minimal fee.

Regardless, I think the Thais plan on covering our losses. If we sell, I think it will be to help with FFP, not keep us in business. A year ago we had to release McAnuff, now we can afford to keep Feds, Pearce, and Karacan.

Apparently the offers to Kara, Pearce, & Feds are greatly reduced from their current deals

Hector not particularly sellable, he was our most improved player, under Clark he stopped his one bad mistake a game and turned him into our best defender and Arsene Wenger was apparently mighty impressed. I'd be very surprised if we don't receive an offer from a prem club for him

Our wage bill now compared to before AZ got involved is astronimical, so surely the annual black hole is even greater?

RG7Fan Andersen not offered a new one

Knight, Travener, Yak all going - no great surprise

With regards to Andersen, the club said "Not at this time" which to me means Andersen wants to get first team football, so either Feds signs and Andersen leaves, or Fed leaves and Andersen becomes first choice.

Agree - dont know if that means theyre hopeful on the Feds situation.

Being arguably the best defender at a lower mid-table Championship club for half a season doesn't make you worth millions. He's done well, but not as well as Morrison for example.

I'd agree with the statement that being the best defender at a lower championship club doesn't mean he'll be worth millions, but if you are likening him to Morrison he is a far better player more mobile , quicker and a better reader of the game, we got lucky with Cardiff wanting Morro, but i'll be very surprised if he ends up playing in the prem, whereas with Hector I would think it will be a near certainty

He was very impressive in the FA Cup semi-final and earned a handshake from Wenger. Impressions like that live long in the memory.

Morrison has Premier League experience, was only a few months older, and had a longer contract. He'd also made some high profile appearances that got him attention - he was "linked" with a move to Arsenal after making one tackle which had pundits gushing.

I think Hector will be the better player but I don't think anyone would make us an offer worth taking. He isn't good enough to play in the Premier League yet, so why not wait a year?

Is Tarique Fosu actually out of contract then?
