FroomesVictor MeldrewFroomes And yes of course it was a fluke that both Chelsea and City were bought by billionaires, however it isn't a fluke that they continue to win things because they spend their money on world class players for the most part, compared to Liverpool who spend 20m on players like Lovren...
But if you have a never-ending supply of dosh you can afford to waste money on players like Cuadrado and Luis Fellipe or Mangela and Jovetic.
At City and Chelsea the managers play Championship Manager (It's called buying the title) whereas elsewhere they have to be a bit more circumspect and manage the best that they can.
BTW Kes has Abramovich sacked the horrible little one again for producing boring football as he did before?
I neither support City nor Chelsea but imagine getting rattled by Chelsea and Mourinho winning the league with 'boring football'...
If spending 20m on Lovren, 20m on Markovic, 25m on Lallana and even 35m on Andy Carroll is considered circumspect then serious questions are needed to be asked.
Not my words m8-it's been said by others about Chelsea's brand of football under Mourinho.
I happen to think that the jury is still out on Markovic and Lallana.
Also Saints fans will tell you that Lovren was their defensive rock last season and they have been amazed at how well Fonte has done and how poorly Lovren has done.
Perhaps it is just a case of being overawed at going to such a big club as Henderson found in his first season.
