Not sure what the point of this would be for him, but here you go anyway.

Probably marginally safer from relegation (depending on our business over the summer). If they offer him much more money than us it's a no brainer for him to go there really. If it's fairly close in pay he'd be better off staying IMO - unless all my worst nightmares about what's in store for us under Clarke come true.

The point would be joining a much bigger club.

This. It would be like John Terry joining Liverpool.

Gosh, Leeds!
Leeds who have a history of hard and successful centre backs like Jackie Charlton, Vinnie Jones, Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Woodgate, so where would Pearce fit into the picture?

melonhead what would those be?

Lose our good out of contract players, poor - short term - replacements, poor performances, insipid tactics, little opportunity for the youth with some of the best leaving before the next season and nailed on relegation.

Pearce is no real loss tbf. No pace, turning circle of a cart horse and he's on big wages. Happy to see him go. We have to accept this is going to be a very messy season with a lot of changes, but we can start the building process and in a few years hopefully see the rewards.

I for one would not like to see a 26 year old vastly experienced captain and centre-half to leave for nothing. For all his faults ( lack of pace being the main one) we need to keep him. Who would we get in in his place - Mills :o !
Cooper and Hector are a good back-up combination but Pearce seems to be the teams leader.

cooper and hector going forward, but pearce required for experience and leadership. ingimarsson never had pace either
if he stays it will be on reduced wages, so that's the other issue sorted too.

Their fans seem happy with the link but have also picked up on our comments about his flat feet and turning circle lol. Commited defender but when he's faced with pace he's stuffed.

This all reminds me of Nicky Forster moving to Ipswich in 2005. I can't help but think that the various managers are looking at 3 year old highlight reels.

Well, the Leeds link seems like it might have been legit with Head having been interested in bringing him here.

I'd be happy seeing Pearce go Derby.
