RUMOUR: Le Fondre Returning

by Reading4eva » 28 May 2015 22:21

A chap I know who is Cardiff through and through has said we are sniffing around Le Fondre with Cox going in the opposite direction.

I like Cox but I don't think Clarke rates him at all. Maybe this is a great move although I feel both players are similar.

Cardiff will be due some cash for Le Fondre too I understand but Cox brings down the price

A) Both players are similar? One plays off the shoulder and acts as a fox in the box while the other drops deep into the hole and plays in between the lines. Yep. Totally similar.

B) Not a chance in hell if this happening.

Cox going the other way lol. Can't see that. Funny as hell though if true. And a big yes to Alf coming back.

Now that would be a great swap, HRK and Alfie exchanging clubs, Alfie would compliment the Pav who often drifts wide, while Alfie prefers to stay as close as possible to the goal line to knock a loose ball in with any part of his body.
Sadly, I doubt even the Welsh would be that keen to take a boy back to the vallies.

Yes, this must happen. Sadly it won't though.

Not sure i believe the rumour but I could see Cox being used as bait in a deal.

When he was at Brum, Clarke was the one that got rid of him I think and I can't imagine him changing his opinion of Cox.

optimistic I agree, but Pav has changed and not really established a partnership with anyone as yet

What's happening with Mackie? is he staying, gone ?

Forest fans say he is on around £20k a week and Reading paid £10k a week during the loan - so I guess Mackie will not be staying on.

Reminds me, I saw a headline yesterday that apparently Manchester City are leading the chase for Pog.

1) Neither can hold down a regular starting position at Championship level.
2) Neither are really what we need upfront.

Although I really rated ALF, I can't help but think this isn't a good idea. But given it's a R4E rumour good idea or no, it isn't happening.

Yep, around £50 million. I think we should hold out for £60 million, maybe then we can afford to sign the Swindon keeper.

If they are desperate to get rid of him, they may agree to pay the difference in wages. I can't see it happening though as he did well on loan and someone else will come in for him whereas if someone came in for Pog and we had to pay half his wages that would still be a big saving for us so we might have to take it.

Personally, i think if we are to pay £20k a week on a player, we could do a lot better than Mackie

Now if he was to say he wears chaps that would be believable.
